Great analysis of Gartner. It is well known in the IT manufacture community that you have to pay to make it into the Magic Quadrant. I say this from experience as I have worked for 3 of the big IT hardware and software manufactures.
Thank you for your unvarnished expression of opinion. This cuts through all the vagueness in today's OT business. There is a lot of truth in this video. It's unbelievable how you summarize all the knowledge in a few minutes, from the countless videos you have published over the past few years.
Wow - this is an impressive and thorough analysis, Walker 👏 Over the years, the biggest challenge has been combining IoT, IIoT, Fleet Management, and IoT Device Management tools under the same MQ. It is impossible to get a correct comparison until you cut through the fat. Thank you for the shout-out to Litmus!
Excited that Walker Reynolds is going to a Keynote Speaker at our MESA Africa Summit in October in South Africa. He is always mindblowingly unbelievable with how he challenges narratives in the Manufacturing industry. Powerful podcase too...
This is pure gold walker thanks 🎉 I wonder if we will get some insight into prove it conference like streams or reports so we who do not attend can get a view of solutions and demos👍
It is no secret that companies like Gartner and IDC charge for their listings. This applies not only to the IoT/IIoT field but also to all IT products. I have personally used Software AG's Cumulocity platform and Azure IoT, and I can confidently say that they are not suitable as IIoT platforms.
Conclusion: If Trump is not next president, then kiss America goodbye. If CEOs of all tech companies don't listen to Walker, then kiss the industry goodbye
The story goes: The Manufacturing Executive wants to dabble in Digital Transformation, allocate a 2.5 - 3M budget, and assign an Engineer to choose a product. The engineer plays it safe and select something from the Gartner Magic Quadrant. Guess what happens next? 🫠
