Good point. I honestly thought I could sing ( in my car) so I decided to record myself. Thank God I did. My voice is terrible and glad I did not embarrise myself in front of friends and family. 😞
I spent 6 months learning a new accent, changed my hairstyle, and grew facial hair to deceive the judges (while I could have been practicing for ya know... singing) only to fold within 5 seconds of completely predictable questioning.
@@itsjemmabond Really? Okay so go to watch all these videos when Simon was explaining his ''no'' (meaning all of them) or the ones where he actually gave solid advice to people (like when he suggested the contestant to try another song and gave him 3 chances to restart it).
Gary has a good heart, when the other judges said No. He was the only one who said yes, just to make his fans happy. And the bonus was when he gave the hug for the man who sang his song. I love you more Gary.
OMG, is there no one in their families who said "don't make a fool of yourself because you can't sing"??? I would protect my family member for sure and tell him/her that.. This is so sad.

All I could picture was the time when at age sixteen Gary Barlow lost a christmas competition with a song he wrote on Pebble Mill to a bunch of mediocre choir girls. The look of anger, disgust and superiority on his face was priceless. The hormones were strong in Gary the teen.

My father always liked to celebrate New Year at home, but one day they went to visit friends. The next day, my stepmother talked about the party with enthusiasm, and for some reason my dad had a face like Gary Barlow's at thоse auditions. Even his facial expressions were similar. It turned out that their frends had karaoke, and my stepmother, who doesn't have a musical ear, was singing all New Year's eve. And my dad, who had a musical education, was listening to her.

I’m told some people really, truly can’t hear how bad they are. I can’t imagine sucking that hard and not knowing better. I certainly know I sound like a dying walrus, as does my entire family know that they suck. And yes, I get that the producers lie to people, but that’s a well known fact these days.
No. Most of them are totally deluded or tone-deaf or have awful mothers/friends who fortify their delusions . And don't forget: Very often those auditions are preplanned and scripted with paid actors for fun.
