He did his best to keep Quebec out of the league. Moved teams to regions no one asked for. Sticks morbidly to his "Project Arizona" even though it failed well over 20 years ago. (We have here in Switzerland a village with 900 inhabitants which has a higher spectator average). The guy is resistant to learning....

😫Personally responsible for ruining the NHL. The last Canadian team to have won the Stanley Cup was when he took office 30 years ago. All things being equal, it is statistically impossible that this could happen...unless there are mitigating factors influencing this. Butt-Man is totally responsible for these factors. Awful person

Congrats on 30 years at NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman! 👏 To all the haters in the comments, Gary built the NHL to what it is today. Without his steady hand at the wheel, the League wouldn’t be able to compete financially with the other bigger market sports. And with 30 years as the head of the NHL, I guarantee that no one in this comment section knows more about hockey or cares more about it than him.

No one's perfect, idk why he gets so much hate. Like the league isn't in a great place with some teams and international. But I'd argue the nhl is the most exciting league in sports right now. Outside of the massive amount of soccer leagues.
