What a gangsta, not afraid to admit his vices, so many ppl on coke never admit to it, they'll admit to pills or drinking but never coke. Busey owns it, what a legend !
She got hit by a drunk driver. The accident happened after we had been married for quite some time. Her processing of what is going on around her, and her speech is now slower and she can't get all of her words out. It has changed her personality somewhat as far as her outlook on life. Brain injuries effect everybody differently. The good thing is that she hasn't let it slow her down. She approaches each day striving to do the best she can.
When Jim shot out that lightning quick "fucking until numb" acronym for "fun," that may actually be the first time I've seen Gary Busey express genuine awe and admiration for somebody.
I used to think Gary Busey was just a crazy guy but he’s clearly fully aware, and not crazy. His filter may be loose but he leans into it, he makes it comedy. I say this because if you watch old interviews after his accident, he pushes his humor in the interview to make light of the tragedy. Over the years, he used how others judged him as a way to find power. People try to exploit him but they miss the point, Gary is confident and doesn’t give a shit how people view him. That’s the strength he had to survive.
A lot of ignorant people think that Gary Busey is crazy. He is absolutely not crazy. He is awakened. He is mentioning key facts that can help you awaken as well! He mentions the following -Kundalini -Spirit -Heart Chakra -Out of body experiences -Angels -The Devil -Nondualism -Death -God -The Trinity If you look these things up, and read about them, you will have a better understanding of yourself and the spirit. God bless those reading this with an open mind and open heart. 💗
I had the pleasure of meeting Gary at a bar in Trancas near Malibu. I was having a drink with Spanky Mcfarlane and she and Gary knew each other, we hung out for just a minute. This was just after The Buddy Holly Story. I remember he had so much energy, he also was wearing the coolest jacket, a Gold Jacket with a Bengal Tiger on the back, Wow ! He was very cool.
Do you two not know how far back Jim and Sam both go with Busey? He used to come in to the O & A show when Jim was just 3rd mic and Sam was still an intern. They're not being rude to him, they're having fun with him. Stop looking at this as two guys interviewing your idol of cinema, and realize what it really is, three friends spittin the shit.
Love this guy... been a fan ever since I found out about him. Honesty, insightful and funny as fuck. You can judge him all you want, but you can't deny the force that is Gary Busey. The gravitational pull he has is amazing, his story is humbling and he is a true Legend if you read his Story.
Weird this came up. I died too and had an experience. I remember very little but I remember the peace I felt. He is right. Nothing in this world like it. I remember being told it wasn't my time. 2 women and a crowd of ppl. We were celebrating. Even as I knew I couldn't stay we celebrated.
So you're saying your near death experience was going to a party that you know you couldn't stay at? Genuinely one of the most subtly beautiful things I've ever heard. I'm almost crying thinking about that. I might have to use this concept in one of my books one day.
I loved Gary in "Silver Bullet." He played this lovable drunken uncle who looked after his nephew and niece when no parents were around. A great actor with presence on the silver screen.
I listened to the whole thing and I didn't hear anything mentioned about him playing in a band. Ironically, that's the reason why I clicked on the video
There are numerous studies now showing that people reporting Near-Death Experiences were either not in a position to experience anything ("temporary brain death") and/or retrieved information they shouldn't have been able to regarding rooms they were in or the immediate locality.
I had to watch this to actually see Jimmy say "Cuffs is the nickname for his rectum." I was laughing my ass off in the car when I heard him say that line, live.
Facts: 1. He Believes, 2. Helmets are compulsory nationwide, 3. He's crazy, but we love him. :) Edit: 4. I have greatly underestimated him. Way to go Gary!
Why would the guy not want Gary to say his own Buseyism, instead of him looking it up and reading it aloud. Jesus, he's RIGHT THERE. Let Gary say it as only he could.
Amazing Actor. Good Man. Death Defying Survivor. Intelligent, articulate, big hearted, and compassionate. And a crazy kinda comedic joker who loves to laugh.
I heard this interview Wednesday and was disturbed by poor Gary's wheezing. Seeing the interview has made me feel wheezing is the least of his problems. Jeez 🙃
@17:05 I will be patiently waiting for the footage of you guys riding horses at a Dairy Queen, shouting insults at people wearing zippers. It can and should be the pilot reboot of I'm With Busey, featuring Jim Norton. Gary rarely takes a shine to folk like that.
He smashed his head on a curb without a helmet and almost died. BTW, he started out in comedy on a show called Mazeppa Pompazoidi. Most people don't realize he's always doing comedy and isn't really so crazy.
Gary had Cancer in his sinuses and behind his eye. It nearly killed him, again. It is a miracle that he lived through that one too! God has given him a mission to all people. Blessings on him and his family.
Instead of listening to him and treating him as a guest on your show, you're making a mockery of him for the sake of comedy. I think you're both a couple of goombas that used to get the shit kicked out of you growing up! That's not to say you deserved it...just an observation. Give the man respect. It's like you think he's so far gone that it's ok to try to hurt his feelings...you know, for the sake of comedy!
