I'm 50 years old been around bulldogs (pitbulls) since I was 5 - always had them. Most I had at once was 4:at one time. I only keep one at a time now - been driving trucks ( logging and hauling cattle) dog stays with me 24/7 - I take a step, Big Sissy takes a step. I stop Big Sissy stops. Everything I do she's with me. She is the toughest dog I ever had and I've had some really good dogs so that says alot about how close I am to her. I've met alot of dog men ( and women) but have never met Gary Hammond. I have heard people put him down for one reason or another. Makes me feel protective over him. The things about him I heard that were negative were what I would call positive. I would look down and disagree with any negative comments about Gary Hammonds. I truly respect him and his kind and generous heart, his love for the dogs. And for that I consider him the best of the best. He's not a monster like some others are. He cares and respects the dogs. ... My deepest respect goes to Gary Hammonds - Buster Frank Ruffner
Gary Hammond and Bobby Hall Texas Legend's in the Game Bread dog history Respect and Salute men that Helped put Texas on the map in the APBT history !!! SALUTE... From TEXAS...
I don’t sell puppy’s dogs that don’t work out in my program must go and all dogs on my yard been game tested it’s 3 of us in all and trade dogs with each other to make our program stronger I have 2 yr old male nice hard mouth and everything that comes off him mouth same way so my yard is a work in progress I won first place in Mexico last year some I don’t need to sell anything what I have is working good for me
My DNA structure is up close and very lively.....I don't do shows or the box....but hog hunting....DEFINITELY!!! If I was into the box....my bulldogs would be too....they take on whatever task I ask....I don't have a need or desire for a box. Bring any real bulldog man and he can see it would be a very easy transition for these bulldogs. I just don't condone or believe in the box. I know it made our game dogs what they are, but it's in their DNA...up close, good enough for me to hunt with and trust my bulldogs with our lives.
Y’all don’t be crazy about getting a pup it’s a lot of false paper work and cues when I come to a dog man with cash in my hand and say let’s lock it and they don’t accept two things they know their dogs are cues or the just sale curs and combat days are over but if u come to my yard trust u can see why that dog is on my yard I never backed down from no one I always say lock it in some of the dog man today don’t want to see me I cured out the best of them so look at my paper work u see it in my dogs and not too many dog man can say that ask those dog man in Mexico and Alabama and Hawaii about me game and mouth Hammond blood please I wish I new someone a champion off that blood big curs and he know what I’m saying is true I will call him out any day
Depends how often you breed her. My oldest breeding was 9 and she had me a litter of 6 healthy pups but she was in excellent health before that. I would not go past 9 do but hey to each his own. Just make sure she is very very healthy first.
I met him while on my honeymoon..he said son your crazy to bring your new bride to a yard of bulldogs..i wish you well..we got divorced 4 years later..lol
@@deadgame3298 ctfu lmmfao 😂🤣👍👍part of the reason I retired from the game yrs ago, it's attracting the not so bright type smh. Boss Hog, Ruff Touch Kennels retired.
These old dogs are definitely miserable, living their whole life on huge chains, living in dirt is beyond selfish...at least let people that wants to give these old souls a great rest of their lives....they need to be in a home with people who love them and sleep on the soft beds in the houses with treats and hugs and all day being # 1 in a human family .Don't say that these older/seniors are happy because anybody can see that they're old ,tired ,broken dogs that need the people that really wants to give them a real home and never more having to live with huge chains.... many people will buy these Seniors just to make them all happy cozy homes and to be with people who will spoil them rotten , until their last breath because they damn sure deserve it !!!
Pit dogs are very resilient that's what's happen to the game we got ppl thinking they know how these dogs feel meanwhile they are happy with food and attention anything more is not necessary period they are warrior dogs you can't treat them like golden retrievers go right ahead and give them softy pillows it's going to get destroyed
I've never had a pit that barks like that theyll pull at stuff or whine but barking over and over like a damn hound dog idk 🤔 I've had good hammonds dogs back in early 2000s but not sure about these I think Mayfield may of been right
Mayfield is entitled to his opinion and I respect his bulldog knowledge. But that's not the Gary Hammonds I know. People do change, but Hammonds has been the same since I met him. I honestly don't have nothing bad to say about him, the bulldogs (3) I got from him are top notch and are very workable. If Mayfield's opinion keeps you from getting a dog/pup from Hammonds is on you. Granted, his style/type of Alligator dogs are not for everyone, but for me....they fit every check on my list.
@@marlonbarrentine6268 one of the best dogs I've had in my life were from hammond's shy and hammond's kilroy dog he was the toughest dog I've owned in my life and just gorgeous great all around dog
@@gshell2520 Glad to hear I'm not the only one who feels Hammonds is on to something with the working bulldogs. I have zero complaints about my dogs and how they produce. It really should be called cloning instead of breeding....lol! The DNA structure is deep and up close. Most of my pups look like dogs Hammonds had back in the day....I gotta a Tanner Mis, a female Alligator, Race Horse Haynes, Hailstone, Ruf Kneeser, Lucky Law dog, Knee Buster, Gator Gal Francis, and I did have a Ch. Alexander Tanner, but lost him to a bad kennel accident.
@@marlonbarrentine6268 exactly they sound good I love those dogs it's hard to find real real pitbulls with all the watered down bullys everywhere and the way they mix those dogs I have one now and I really miss my oldschool pitbulls . Are you in texas by chance?
@@gshell2520 I don't care for Bullys at all. Not saying that they don't make good companions or pets, they're just not my style of bulldog. I like the original working athletic leggy bulldogs. No, I'm from the Memphis area. I come to TX to hunt and see Hammonds.
Doesn't know the name of a bunch of his own dogs, doesn't know who is out of who, and doesn't know who he has pups from, half the dogs are scared of him, half the dogs are scratching flees, half the dogs are crippled, and half have skin problems. Willing to sell multiple dogs that are 8, 9, and even 10 years old that are sterile and cripple? For what? I use to think Hammonds was a dogman. Not anymore. This video was pathetic.
@@arrowheadkennels dude has neglected dogs that do not care to see him, dogs that he had their entire life and are not old...dogs that he said had pyometra that he cannot remember the breeding of, but they are for sell. lol.

His yard looks like 💩 for one. The hounds in the cages more than likely are on top of the houses bc they’re tired living in 💩. Not to mention more than half he displayed rarely showed any emotion toward him that says alot about what they think about him. My bet is the genetics on these mutts are all screwed up i would stay clear!
You can tell these dogs live tethered to those heavy chains day in and out without adequate exercise or human contact. What a sin. I never treated my bulldogs that way...and never will
This has to be the worst looking yard I've ever seen, most of em look like mixed breeds.I see a few of em with fat tails, pitbulls don't have thick tails.Horrible representation of this breed
a lot of real pit are natually very lean to the point where they look like there not fed good, even if they are. both of my females as well as my cuzzin pit get fed very well BUT if you were to see them you would think there skinny even tho that is just there natural weight, think of really skinny human that eat and eat but not gain a pound , thats how many of these pits are
These dogs are pure trash I see alot of mastiffs in the bloodlines. If you want a real killa just get a mastiff anyone can mix a mastiff with something and get a fighting dog.I bet if you put a cane Corso on any of these dogs and it will cur out within one minute I will put up 1k whenever yall ready
