In the 90's i went to one of his concerts N i escaped through security N was on stage with Gary Hobbs while he was singing this song N he hugged me N i danced with him while i could for a few seconds. I still temember that awesome night.💕🥀
Listening to Gary Hobbs and these Tejano songs makes me homesick for Texas. Those days were so traumatizing and sad for me having been ripped away from my real family and adopted out. Listening to this music was one of my only joys I had in life. As I hear this now I feel myself tearing up, I should have been with my Biological Family listening to these Songs, singing, going to dances, growing up with my real Mom being close and her loving me, not with some witch who adopted me and beat me almost every day and hated me and would get pissed if I even showed the tiniest bit that my culture was still ingrained in my Soul. ( She was white and now I know she was racist and only adopted me to be get slave) So Thankful to God that he blessed me and allowed me to find my Family through Ancestry DNA. Over four decades away from my Family, imagine all my Families surprise when i reappeared. I hate CPS and I wish they would have to answer to what they did to me and my Family. It wasn’t my parents fault I was taken. In fact they were up North working and I was being watched by a family member, (whom I was taken from) My parents weren’t even informed and never even had a chance, they were young and poor minorities. Ohhmyygoodness.. how music can take you back... 😭😭 Anyway, Thanks Gary Hobbs and all the wonderful Tejano Singers for your music especially from the 80’s, one of the only things I really enjoyed , listening to this music, I really think it is a big part of what kept me from going completely insane and giving up, my love for the music soothed my Soul. #MichelleTorresActress #SheilaMontez #SanBenitoTexas
I read your story. So sad that happened to you. I hope things are good for you now. Yeah CPS if full of drunks and drug users that don't have a heart. And they do things because they can and have the authority, but it doesn't mean they care about children. Hope things are going well for you and your family. I'm also Tejano. From the Rio Grande Valley. I'm from Edinburg. Tx. Happy holidays!!!
Sheila Michelle Torres, I'm sorry for your pain. You suffered pain you did not deserve! It breaks my heart that you endured all that hatred and rejection. I pray that you are in a happier place after all you endured. Forgive those who hurt you, not for their good but for the sake of your soul, Jesus says "If you do not forgive, neither will my Father forgive you." I was adopted at about 8 years of age, out of obligation. Long story short, I was whipped each week for whatever was wrong in the world. Everything was always my fault. More whippings, beatings. I learned to forgive decades later, my soul is lighter and I am free. Just forgive and God will bring a special blessing, surprise into your life. You deserve to live in peace. God heal all the painful memories in your soul. LET GO, AND LET GOD, (have His way).
Sheila Michelle Torres Montez Glad you found your family my god always be with you mija , sorry for what you had to go through, y que viva la musica tejana
Chale.
I've always liked this song. This song was playing when I met my wife. We will be married 6 years this year. Always reminds me of her when I hear it. And that's also everyday because it's her ringtone.
I miss my texas roots the music is awesome makes you 💃 away n party dance's with bands tejano music I'm in heaven oh the Texas food from the Rio Grande valley is so good. South parade inland sea food is the best. This are my roots i miss so much so Edinburg Texas this girl is coming home to stay
I remember when I first saw Gary Hobbs and the Hot Sauce Band at Perez Dreamland in Dallas Texas in the 80's and still my favorite today! God Bless You, your wife and band always!
Ever have the heart-throbbing sensation when dancing, spinning and whipping around the dance floor? It's fun every time....especially with the accordion playing in the background.
Delfina Rivera, yes yes yes. Though, in my family, this music is good for parties, weddings, baptisms, funerals, divorces, para todos los occasions!! Lol .Spanglish.
Matamoros, Tamaulipas. 1993 (o tal vez 1992). Esta Canción me llenaba de Nostalgia al pensar en mi Chica Ideal. Tenia yo 17 años y desde entonces me gusta toda La Música Tejana. GRACIAS Gary Hobbs.
Wow going way back a memory I will always remember hearing this song and seeing him in person was exciting he sanged n a club and sanged all his amazing songs and after that signed autographs very special night
Gary is dancing doing the ‘washing machine’ (but in the gentle cycle), lol. A true master at mesmerizing the chicas with those dance moves and huge stage presence! Gary, you’re sendin’ them home nearly fainting !
Fell in love with Tejano music after I started truck driving. For 3 years I would drive between Denver Colorado and Laredo Texas. And in the way I would listen to local Texas tejano radio stations. And would download the tejano songs to my iPhone that I liked which were many. Love local Texas tejano music stations but no tejano radio stations here in Denver. But through the internet there is no need for local radio. 🎵
Nice to know that you are into Tejano, so am I! I'm from Michigan but we love Tejano here! Born & raised here but Tejano has been in my life since I was younger! Be careful outthere on the road! 💃♈️🌹, Elizabeth

wow this guys sings really good I like his style, is this Texan music, another words Texan Country music, it has that Tex Mex sound and I love it , I never heard of this singer and I really like his music, hey send me his link if anyone kinows it id like to get more 411 on him and his music..... John from Santa maria California
Juan Silva It's called tejano music which translates into Texan music.. When you say Tex Mex I think you are referring to A style something like the Texas Tornados which is considered conjunto . Tejano music is much more progressive style of music... but, it's roots come from conjunto..
Juan if you have not heard look up " the best of Gary Hobbs 2020" It's so awesome. You will enjoy it. Also there's dlg (David Lee Garza) " just freinds" it's got alot of tejano singers and Gary Hobbs is one of them. I lived in Fairfield, CA for about 4 years at Travis air Force Base. I really enjoyed it, but it was not Texas. I have a brother who presently let lives in Vallejo. We reminisce about San Francisco, Concord, Sacramento, San Jose, Modesto, but when he visits Texas it almost takes an act of Congress to get him to go back. We have so many family Texas members scattered all over the states, but their heart is in Texas! Boy this is more then you wanted to hear! Well the memories are there. China Town, fisherman's wharf !
Cindy Hernandez Its that 90s era... The style was perfect for Tejano artist..I LOVE TEJANO MUSIC,but I dislike how new artist dont have as much support on radios. And theres also so much comparison to selena that a new female artist isnt as respected..
