Back 30 to 40 years ago for some reason these interviews didn't even exist in North America!! Tried looking on every channel back then. (No Satellite TV yet) So great to see them surface now!!
thankS for sharing. this is rare indeed. Great to see Numan was being given some exposure in Europe. I do know for sure Change Your Mind was very popular in both Germany and Italy soon after
I have always been Numan fan but many of his fans hated Change Your Mind. I am very good friends with Bill Sharpe's wife. He is always very kind to me, really a fun guy and still producing very good music. I like New Thing From London Town which they did together.
@@thomasgray5406 I'm surprised by that. I don't personally know any Numan fans who didn't like Change Your Mind. My Numan mates and I loved it. We'd be up on the dancefloor every time it came on in the alternative clubs.
@davidspion9548 I think it was more to do with concept of the collaboration and the direction of music that some really frowned upon; also it was made during his perceived nadir. As Bill says, the Automatic album is beautifully produced and they put a lot into the artwork.
@@Workerbee-zy5nx to be fair, he’s looked younger than he has for years. Hell, nowadays he is in his mid 60’s and could easily pass for mid to late 40’s/early 50’s.
@@numan6959 well he was born on March 8th, 1958, and the interview was aired in April of ‘85, so if he was 26 when this interview was given, it would have been somewhere from January to VERY early March of ‘85:
