one of the best films ever made and not many people have seen it

I saw it for the first time on 11/17/23 and was mesmerized by it. I'm a film buff and Nil By Mouth is one of the very best movies I have ever seen. :)

This is probably the best work of one Gary Oldman. And he's not even in it! It might have been nice if he had just given himself a little cameo. But he wanted complete unknowns for his movie so we could think we were just eavesdropping on real strangers. After seeing this, I wish he would write and direct more films. He really shined a light on the dark seedy underbelly of Britain. A lot of people really thought so. The man won two BAFTA's for it. This is indeed, an unforgettable piece of cinema. One of the best of 1997. Won a lot of awards. I just wish it would have garnered that box-office gold as well.

Everyone needs to watch a film he done called the firm about football hooligans ! It even has Phil Mitchell In it ! Proper film !!!!

One of the finest movies I've ever made. Many of my favourite films are ... well ... I like them but I can't make an argument for them as great works of art but Nil By Mouth I will stand by as one of the best movies of all time.

Remember watching it with my mum and brother at 10yo (90s for you). Stuck with me, dont want to be like that guy. Just finished it at 37yo. Still grim.. what a film. Trainspotting league of film making.

I'm super excited about this 25th anniversary 4k remaster. I really wish Oldman would release the soundtrack of the movie though, separately - I hear the film was scored by none other than Eric Clapton?

Its a crime that the so-called UK Film Industry does not allow him to direct and I know why.
