The 1970's were not the be all end all of music at all. They dod not have Mongolian throat singing or the welcome diversity of genres musically that we have where you have a lot more choices of what you can listen to music wise which is awesome and a lot of the nostalgia thing is totally overrated and other decades made important contributions to music since then that deserve recognition.because good music did not end with the 1970's at all it is all a matter of looking and listening you will find it because there is a lot of good music being made.

Damn! Aaaah, Snap! I just had an amazing flashback. Back in the mid 70's, I was a kid being drug up the stairs of the JC Penny store on Main Street, Columbia, SC, by my mother who was insistent on me getting the proper Cub Scout uniform. She was in search of the perfect blue pants for me. As she yanked me up on the top step of that old JC Penny with the wooden floors, Gary Wright's "Dream Weaver" came over the store's intercom as JC Penny was piping in a local rock station through the store's intercom, I swear, at that moment in time, my life changed, I no longer dug the Archies and the Osmonds, I was re-born as a Rock 'n Roller! Hallelujah!! Praise Little Richard and Chuck Berry!!

Spirals Turns Good for you! I did the same with my kids...adults now. We would play music trivia constantly with Classic Rock; Country; Motown. Now, their music knowledge is off the charts AND they never had a desire to get sucked into the negativity of Rap and Hip Hop.

@@TexasMagnolia to be fair I was a big fan of the more conscious fun rap/hip hop performers - Arrested Development & De La Soul (who, notably, often sampled many of the great performers we see on this channeled on their albums).

Saw Gary Wright who, along with Peter Frampton, opened for Yes at the JFK Stadium in Philadelphia in 1976. An astounding 130,000 people attended! The concert lasted from 1pm til 11pm and was the absolute best concert I ever attended. Man, did I get sunburned, as it was an outdoor arena. We weren’t really familiar with Gary Wright yet, just knew he was some new guy, but when he played, we were all in and knew this guy was gonna make it big! What a day, what a memory!!

One word describes his voice: ethereal. And the song makes me image a 'dream catcher' like some native Americans would make for their spiritual journey.
