Gas Clothes Dryer Gas Pressure Troubleshooting 

To answer my own comment: With the new coils not helping I decided, as a Hail Mary before springing for a new gas valve, to examine the existing valve to see if it had been clogged or damaged. Before removing I had to shut off the gas, naturally. I noticed the lever, set against the wall, was perpendicular to the line. Odd. I twisted it parallel, but since parallel usually means "open" I decided to check the dryer operation lest I get a facefull of propane. Sure enough, the dryer worked flawlessly, the burner ignited immediately. How that valve, set against the wall between washer & dryer with only an inch of space between them, came to be closed is a mystery. It's just my wife & me here. Only possibility is that I sometimes keep a mop between the two machines. Somehow the mop head must have turned the valve. Anyway, I just wanted to point out that sometimes we overlook the most basic causes of an appliance not working: is it really plugged in? Have gas? Batteries good? In my defense there is just no way that gas valve should have been closed all of a sudden, so I didn't think to check it first. Lesson learned ... I hope.

I know you fixed your issue but I want to respond to your original question. In most cases you will never need to touch gas pressure adjustment screws. I wanted to do a deep dive and measure it and check the flame. I also noticed that I could not find 1 video on RU-vid with a gas dryer measuring gas pressure. Let me know if you did find another video on your research and send me that link, as I would like to watch that video. Thanks KenTraining

I am using Natural gas and yes if you were using propane, you would need to make adjustments.

you would check for leak with soap and water solution and spray all joints and look for bubbles.

I cut a hole in mine and have a small grommet. It’s not large enough for monitors and stuff but it’s large enough to see in and see if the flame is on or off. A small rubber grommet covers it.

I did not change anything else, I was just watching it and I did notice it went more blue over a day or so. All I can say is, follow the manufactures spec. and follow that, put back together and check your flame. If you are in the ballpark, you are good. My dryer has been working good since this rebuild.

with doors off the air flow is off and not pulling through the unit as designed. This will trip the high temp cut out switch.
