John Wood gas water heater started but soon as main gas kicked in, it runs for few seconds and stops, using Honeywell WV4464B1037 controller; three blinking led light indicated "Pressure switch failed open". Problem fixed.
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for showing me how easy it is to fix the pressure switch! It worked perfectly and I felt confident I could do it. I was so nervous to try but when you showed me to unplug first and turn off gas valve I had confidence I could do it! I also liked the way you got right to the point. I’d tried 3 other videos before yours and they dragged on forever and were too confusing! Thanks again 👍🏼
Thanks for your great comments, it is really nice to hear that my video helped you fix your hot water tank issue, which could be an easy $100 in your pocket; great job. Please like and subscribe my channel, thx.
THANK YOU SO FREAKING MUCH I WAS ABOUT TO PAY $780 plus TAX! I’ve watched so many videos on RU-vid about this problem and yours was the only one that worked! Thank you so much again !
Thank you so much this video saved my life. I’ve literally had eight different plumbers at my house and they have done everything from change my water heater, the motor in my furnace and never touched the pressure switch. This video was a life saver and $ a lot of $
Thank you so much I watched the pressure switch video you have NO IDEA how much this video saved me and my families life thanks again you reallly can’t imagine what I’ve been through with this and we hade literally 8 different plumbers and they did everything but this only u and your video fixed it
Thanks for posting this video. I followed your troubleshooting tips and it was definitely a plugged copper nipple causing the problem (where the rubber hose connects to from the pressure switch)! Everything worked fine after cleaning the nipple and reassembling everything!
This was exactly my problem. Just took off the hose and blew through it to clear out any debris, and it worked fine. Plugged it back in and it started right away. I like to fix most things myself (or at least attempt it), but always get nervous around gas-operated items that I'm not familiar with. This video made me feel confident to approach this problem. Thanks so much!
Wow! So well explained. We did exactly like that and the metal pin was full of limestone. We gently push a small metal wire through it and then clean the pin with a soft sanding sponge and voilà!!
Great video, simple and to the point. Just so happens it's exactly the same problem my tank was having. Simple solution, and saved me $$ on a service call. Outstanding sir!
Thank you so much!!! After watching 20 ueseless videos, i finally stumbled across this and IT WORKED IMMEDIATELY! This was our last try before calling someone to check it out for us. You saved us hundreds!
You were spot on, I took and blew through it and sucked just fine, but it still had a little piece of plastic in it making it not work, i used a paperclip to clear the copper fitting and it's heating fine now. Thank you very much.
OOOooo Man THX YOU SO MUCH bro u may be saved us some monye but good job on showing and telling us on how to fix this. No hot warter is so crapy to shower or take a bath in LoL
This must be for the 2 blink code. I had the 3 blink code and this is what worked for me… Pressure Switch for a Richmond Power Vent is located in the Blower Hood, Remove the Hood from the top of the water heater, take off the 3 screws on the side panel (NOT THE TOP WHERE IT STATES DO NOT TAKE APART) You'll see the valve with the square hose on it, remove the hose and take a partially bent paper clip, slide it thru the hole to the fan until it pokes thru, scrape back an forth to remove any debris, also try to run it about an inch up the valve, place the black square tube on to the nipple which you cleaned out going to the fan and blow on it, if you can now blow thru it should work, connect the other end to the valve and reassemble being sure to tighten the clamps to the pipe heading outside. Turn on furnace and it should now work.
Hi, thanks for the vid. I have this problem every 6 months. Is there a solution to fix this permanently? Should I open up the unit to investigate further?
You're welcome! Don't for get to subscribe, its the least you can do for me and my appreciation will be huge. Please help my goal of reaching 1000 subscribers by the end of this year!
wow. thank you! this fix my heater! It just has been used for less than one year. I don't think it should be broken. The hole of metal connector is super small and very easy to be clogged, which is a bug. Why they make it so small?
