Hi guys,
Hope you are all well. Just wanted to keep you all in the loop with my journey at 2 months post gastric sleeve surgery. I speak about how I track my weight-loss (including apps and scales such as ActiveEra), my vitamin routine and favourite protein snacks.
Places like Home Bargains & B&M have amazing and affordable protein snacks - especially for this on a bariatric journey as they are high protein, high fibre and low carb/low sugar.
I hope you found this video useful :)
Catch up soon.
Lots of love,
Haz xxx

Hi Hazal your looking amazing, thank you so much for sharing your weight loss journey with us. I'm having the same Procedure as you next week by the same surgeon. I'm starting to feel a bit nervous, as I've never had major surgery before. Watching your videos gives helps me alot to combat my fear. Thank you lovely so much.

Hello dear! I will have my surgery in 2 weeks and I am finding your videos so helpful. Can you give some information about travelling after surgery as I will be flying back alone 4 days after surgery. All the best😊

Hi. Hope you are well. I stayed in hospital for 3 nights and 4 nights at a hotel. I ended up staying an extra few nights just in case however they did advise 5/6 nights in total was enough. My surgeon also gave me a fit to fly note so make sure you enquire about this with your clinic/surgeon. Best of luck with your surgery!

Congrats on your journey so far. You look great. I’m thinking about having this procedure done myself and would appreciate your input in the following concerns: 1) excess skin - have you found that losing weight gradually and exercising has meant you haven’t had excess skin at all or is it still present? 2) your medicine basket is a little frightening😅 are these pills you have to take every day for ever or is there a specific period of time post-op that you’ve been asked to take these for?

Hi Billy. Hope you are well. 1) Fortunately, I don’t have an issue with excess skin just yet. As far as I’m aware, there are a whole host of reasons why excess skin might be an issue - not only excersise, speed of weight loss etc but also elasticity of your skin generally. I’m still at the start of my journey so it’s still a bit too early to tell if this will be an issue for me but I’m hoping it won’t be as my weight loss is not that rapid and I’m trying to keep active. 2) I know that knowing what vitamins to take etc can feel completely overwhelming. I did, and still do feel quite overwhelmed with it all. To be honest, I was only advised to take the stomach protector for 6 months and multivitamins by surgeon. The others I have researched and decided to take myself so definitely seek advice from your own clinic and surgeon. I haven’t got a time frame in mind re how long to take the vitamins but I plan on doing this for at least 1 year until the weight loss is predicted to stop. Best of luck again with your surgery!

You are doing great Hazal. Just be careful with all the vitamins that you are not taking too much e.g vitamin D and calcium can cause issues with kidneys and bones if you are taking too much so check the amounts before continuing.
