Tout part vraiment en vrille. On vient d'apprendre que la relève du Swedish death metal nous vient tout droit... d'Arizona. Ça va compliquer les cours de géographie, ça encore. Mais pour ceux de musique, en revanche, ce sera parfait. Les petits gars ont bien appris les leçons du professeur Entombed sans sécher aucun cours. En bon élève appliqué, GATECREEPER vient réciter sa leçon devant un jury prêt à lui décerner un 20/20.

Everything comes with a twist. We just found out that the Swedish Death Metal revival comes straight from… Arizona. That’s going to make geography class even more complicated! Fortuntately - their take on the genre is perfect. These kids definitely took careful notes during their classes with Professor Entombed! These devout students of the genre will share their lessons in violence before the grand jury of Hellfest in 2022!

Every time I watch a live Gatecreeper set, I'm amazed at how similar they sound to their album production. Shouts out to their producer(s) for getting the energy, ambience, and brutality of such a great band. Factually impossible for a metalhead not to headbang during Sweltering Madness, Ruthless, and Barbaric Pleasures.

Can confirm Gatecreeper are better live than on their album. Saw them live at Copenhell, had never heard of them before, but they made a fan out of me that day. They sounded so sick live... tight, on point, and killer tones. I wish them all they best, and hope they go really far.

My band, Carry the Torch, played the same day as Gatecreeper at Gefle Metal Festival in Sweden. Hung out with them backstage, stood on the side onstage through their whole set and it was one of the best metal shows I’ve ever seen. Talked to them alot that day before and after their show, chill dudes 🤙

One of the few death metal outfits that sound better live, than they do in studio. Saw them twice and they sounded so tight and had such a sick guitar tone. Love this band, and often wonder why they aren’t more well known. 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

personnellement , je n appelle ce groupe , la releve mais , du réchauffe entendu 1000 fois . prenez du Entombed , Grave , Incantation ... faites le même mélange et au passage , une légère influence John Tardy pour certaines intonations et le tour est joue . vraiment rien de nouveau sous le soleil .

C'est exactement ce que je me disais, en plus beaucoup moins accrocheur qu'Entombed...toute la hype envers ces nouveaux groupes "old-school" soit disant tous géniaux m'emm... AUCUN n'est à la hauteur des légendes des 90s...en soit ce n'est pas grave, certains sont corrects, ils ont le droit d'être influencés....etc, mais ils n'apportent absolument rien...
