Gatherers are such an underrated group. Quiet World is something I listen to over and over. Took me a long time to finally listen to this song, and I want to have it in my library immediately. If you like them, another good song to react to would be Black Marigold. 🤘
This is a pretty heavy song, but my favorite part was where they used the simultaneous vocals in the background. It was hypnotic, like going under anesthesia and everything feels like it’s going slower.

As far as I know Rich does all the vocals for the band, there are others where he does more shouting and screaming and it's more obvious that it's him doing it, the vocal layering and low placement of screams in the mix masks it a bit here. Ann Liv Young or Infinity & Gloom would be a good next step to explore a track with more of his harsh vocals and them being more prominent. The atmosphere in their sound is a big part of their appeal. It's really open, but at the same time there's this blanket of icy melancholy. Other recommendations for you and anyone who liked this Young Mountain - Worm Chalk Hands - Fail, Grasp, Restore Not sonically related, but I saw them last month and they recently posted some new tour dates that brought them back to mind, I think you would absolutely love As Everything Unfolds.
