Gatherers is a dreary hardcore band who pen atmospheric tunes with heart-wrenching lyrical content. Lead vocalist Rich Weinberger sways back and forth like a withered plant at the stage’s front. The rhythm section conducts the band’s runaway train-like energy; forceful hits and thumping bass grooves add a dense underbelly to the patient, ethereal guitar work.
