Good lord . Just watched NTLs video of the mill and now seeing this I’m Gatlinburg . Absolutely wild . Stay away from those crossover bridges , only takes a second for those to get washed away . Stay safe

WOW! We was just there last year. Im in Kentucky. I'm about 5 hours away. That's first time I've seen the river that big too. Be careful guys. I hate to see this happen to my favorite vacation place in the world. Its usually fire now water. Go live again soon for an update please!!

We were literally 2 hrs away and heading to Gatlinburg when I got the notice that this video was uploaded. We tried to cancel our reservation at the Margaritaville Hotel with no luck. It ended up being ok, and we had a nice visit, but I thank you for posting this and making people aware of dangers in the area.

In 60+years going to that area and I have NEVER seen flooding this bad. May God be with the wonderful people there and keep them safe. First a big fire and now this. Terrible!

That’s the highest I’ve seen the river! Here in Powell it’s flooded to. I’m pretty much blocked in Powell till the waters subside. Even the temp to I75 is closed and under water

Back in the 90's my parents where down their when they had a very bad flash flood. They said water was running down the main street. A person who had a parking lot wave them in which was a little higher. Dad tried to pay the person for parking but he would not take the money because he said he wants everyone to be safe.

That was my delivery route for 20+ years I loved it up there in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and I have seen the water around that high several times.........

Thanks for the coverage guys. I was there last year on vacation from the UK and they'd had a lack of rainfall at the time (October). Stay safe and please extend my best wishes to the people of that area, they were so friendly toward us Brits, really saddens me to see this happening to them.

Brakes my heart I was up there this year did some work on the Moonshine show you can see it here in a few weeks. We just got done with the 2020 season a week ago. I had the time of my life with them all Great people. God bless you all Amen. Your friend ZIGZAG.

I hope you all got out safely. Flash floods are nothing to mess with. Cars that drive through water and get it up in their intake into the engine can do damage as well. The fires a few years back didn't help either as mountainsides in places are still bare and missing trees. The water can't get soaked up by the trees and causes mud slides.

this is where I work. literally was outside at 10:15 then was evacuated at 11 due to water was over the bridge. It was crazy

some live in off roads, but most live in Sevierville or Newport.

almost everyone that works in Gatlinburg have 45min to an hour drive to work then again home.

Normally that river that you see is just a small creek. I have never seen it like that and I have been going to Gatlinburg since I was a child. I hate to see this. Stay safe!

You guys be careful out there and all that water. . Here in North Carolina. I have a foot of water in my backyard. . Have the dogs inside all day. Thunder and lightning I'll be glad when this mess is out of here. Everybody stay safe.

Wow I seen that storm on the news...wow that’s a ton of rain...we got rain a few days ago in south Florida and got 2 inches or so...but we know flooding in Florida with the hurricanes...pretty dangerous stuff if people drive through and never make it out! Smart to get out 👍🏻

I'm in Jonesborough about an hour from there and it's still raining this is not good it's even flooding in Bristol and Asheville where my sister's live prayers for everyone in the southeast and around the world

No...it doesn't. I have lived here for almost ten years and this is the first time I have seen it this bad. It NEVER gets this bad!! It hasn't rained this long ever!

Didn’t even know I was on RU-vid til my supervisor told me you recorded me walking back to work through that mess I was walking back from moving my flooded car and my pants and shoes were soaked I had to spend the rest of the day barefooted it was awful!!!

I go to school in Knoxville just an hour outside of here where the water is just as high and they made us go to school. Some buses got stuck and couldn’t make it before they decided to call school and we had to evacuate.

It will take a while for that water level to go down. Rain should clear out soon after this front goes through. We are going to get storms this evening in NC. We live at exit 31 on I-95 south.

We keep getting a weeks worth of rain and only one day of sun!! It's been this way for the whole month of February! It's crazy! They say we have had over 10 inches of rain so far this month. That's more then we have had in the last half of 2019!!
