My kid's Charger has been having trouble with gas gauge. His car died a couple of weeks ago and wouldnt start, ahowing 1/2 tank. After tow and being with our mechanic for a couple of days, they determined it was outta gas. I'm now $185 smarter. But I'm a little more confident that his gauge won't eff up again! Thanks, dude!
Thanks for the help brother, I was running errands in my Dodge Durango 05 when out of the blue my fuel guard was showing as if I'd gotten a whole in my tank. Did the reset and it's back to normal! I'm still thinking there was a reason for the problem to start with, however, going to try and unplug and replug the harness in tomorrow.
I had a red dot came up on my 2009 Dodge Charger dash board all meters at 0 and E while driving. Turning signals wasnt working etc. I did what he said it reset and it worked
2015 Durango . Just had an oil change a few days ago, now showing low oil pressure, check engine light on, and low tire pressure light on even though the tire pressure is perfect . Hope this works. The dealer wants to charge 300.00 per light, just to check it out. I’m thinking some of these indicator lights are timed plants to pull in money
On a 1996 dodge Ram 2500 4 x4 gas not diesel it doesn't go through all of the lights.If i hold reset odo button than turn key to on position wait 5 or 10 seconds,no lites cycle at all just gaslite
I had my console off to install some custom colored lights for the gauges, I had to remove the needles if I remember correctly and afterwords my water temp always reads pretty low on the gauge. I'm going to try this out and see if it clears up the issue.
Okay I’m a little slow. So we turn the key but only to show the accessories but don’t fully turn it on? Asking because my fuel gage is stuck and I literally just put $50 in my tank and it’s showing as empty
Hola muy buen video,el tablero de instrumentos de mi caravan 2003 funciona muy bien todas las luces y relojes,peeeero la bateria se descarga por la noche y en el fusible iod encontré el problema en el tablero cuando lo desconecto la bateria amanece bien,con el multimetro lee que está gastando 0.1.9 mA compré otro en el deshuesadero y en el nuevo gasta 002.5mA puse otro y tambien mide diferente,y todos funcionan bien mi pregunta donde estará el problema ,en el conector?como se prueba tierras y corrientes en el conector.gracias.

I did another search online and now I know the wires are under the seats, so I carefully and gently pushed the connection to make sure it was 'connected' so to speak, did it under both seats and voila, the light went out. Don't know what seat it was.. I know my daughter put the seat back a bit hard and that's what probably did it. But it's all good now. Thanks :)
Zachery Collier it should unless there really is something wrong. If the check engine light comes back on then you need to have a dealer take a look at it. Is it low oil pressure or low compression pressure?
John Norris it was the oil pressure sensor. I had it changed but afterwards the check engine wouldn’t turn off. After taking the advice to drive it for weeks through the low to high gears which didn’t work I just had to drive it about 40 miles at a steady speed to reset and it was fine after that.
I just got my Dodge Ram 1500 cooling system flushed. The check gauges light came on. I noticed the oil gauge would drop. My oil is normal. Any idea what that could be ? Thanks.
I have a 2010 charger. When I got it in 2015, I noticed the fuel gauge would jump backwards as if my gas was burning out (at a high rate of speed), as I drove. It stopped doing this thankfully. Today, I tried to fill the car up. It clicked so I figured it was full after I tried to add more gas and it clicked again. I cranked the car and it showed the gauge at 3/4 of a tank. What do you think is the problem?
GO AWAY it should. Make sure your holding the odometer button and the key is in the off position. Then turn it to the on position without starting it while holding the button. Release once it all lights up
