For some frames you want to use the hold ability more than the regular ability. You can invert the hold vs tap abilities in setting if you just search invert in settings
Gauss, the warframe that can give you movement with his 1, protection with his 2, clears enemies with his 3, and buffs himself and abilities with his 4, honestly an incredible frame
@@nickt5985 Well, my rule is usually, keep the base frame, but when I have the prime completed, I would copy the mods over, copy the appearance over, then throw the base into a subsume, letting the Prime frame replace the base frame.
@@jacksonbloodmoon3787 That's what most people do. He was talking about replacing abilities on Gauss, most frames get better when you replace their "bad" ability but all of Gauss abilities are good so there's no need to replace them.
I'm surprised nobody told him he can hire an NPC crew at Fortuna to also help with the ship. you can hire 3 crew members and they can take one of 4 roles: pilot, gunner, engineer and defender
pretty sure this requires you to unlock a decent amount of Command intrinsics before you can get the full crew. or at least before they're particularly good. just checked: full crew is unlocked by r5, but the elite crew is the level 10. basic help with guns/repair is pretty quick though
@@Fyrefrye You need Command rank 5 for all 3. But honestly even 1-2 helps a lot, having someone pilot the ship around while you sit in the main gun makes farming the easy nodes much more convenient.
I'm honestly more impressed seeing a new player already using right click to reverse the spin on Corpus ciphers than anything else ive seen here so far. Even veteran players don't seem to know about that. Edit: If you have a Cipher in your gear wheel, you can press Y on the keyboard to automatically use it the instant you interact with a console.
Well to me at least, I knew it about straight away when I started WF. But with the short time limit and sometimes enemies attacking while I'm vulnerable, it kinda becomes a desperate situation and I wouldn't want to waste too much thinking power on it, especially if the puzzle gets very complex. like 8:25
Hi, Gauss main here. Thermal Sunder is one of the best abilities in game, and i'm gonna share some fun tips info about it: 1. Cast order matters. If you cast Cold -> Heat, the blast will push enemies away, while Heat -> Cold will vaccum them in. 2. Thermal Sunder works off ANY heat/cold stacks on enemies, so if you freeze them with a gun or an environment peice, castting Heat Sunder will create the blast effect. 3. To increase the damage of Thermal Sunder, use Heat THEN Cold. Cold Sunder can take the DoT effect of Heat and force all remaining damage to be dealt with the Blast in a single instance. More Heat stacks, the better. 4. (optional) Try to get a Thermal Transfer mod from the Syndicates. It causes Thermal Sunder to imbue your and allied weapons with bonus Heat/Cold damage. It will interact with your current elemental mods, so if you have Toxin and you cast Cold Sunder, you will have Viral for the remaining duratuion of the buff. That's all. Have fun, and remember: YOU CAN'T GO TOO FAST! :D EDIT: Durning writing I forgot one thing: Redline amplifies the Thermal Sunder effects, being Cold Sunder insta freezes enemies, Heat Sunder applies full DoT effect and Blast Sunder permanently removes enemy armor, based on battery level. Thanks @Mystyrio001 for a reminder in replies. :)
Thermal sunder is hotdog water past level 200 enemies. Better off subsuming it for anything else. Over 6k hours played since 2014. I’ve seen it all, done it all, and know more about the game and late steel path than 99% of these RU-vid wannabes.
@@switch8001 1. Thermal Sunder can 1 shot Level cap 2. For effective Sunder Nuking, you really don't encounter past 200 enemies unless you do endurance or Circuit, which is a fraction of the game itself
I highly recommend completing the quest "Call of the Tempestarii" as it is both a railjack mission and also has a banger song in it that's super worth hearing.
I'm not even that much of a veteran but it's still so cool to see a beginner figure out all of this cool stuff. And yeah, gauss prime got me back in the game, had to make him look like an ae86 trueno
Railjack has it’s on upgrading and mods and missions that expands gameplay tenfold. Chefs kiss. Enjoying your content. If Destiny had integrated ship battles and missions where your ship is pivotal, it would’ve been an even more amazing game.
@@jamesn0va They don't really lose much by adding it considering that the rest of the game is still entirely playable without it except for Kuva Lich/sister of Parvos and sevagoth. Just adds new missions for people who like it (Me). It's even possible to play solo by building your own crew. From what I've played of the Railjack missions, there isn't really anything inherently wrong with it's gameplay, the only reason people wouldn't like it is if they just don't like space ship missions. Edit: Btw, I don't say this to hate on your opinion. It's alright to not like the railjack missions, I was just saying why I liked the missons and maybe trying to convince you to give them another chance
The overpromising and underdelivering around Liches and Railjack (Plus a month of DE on Christmas break right after Railjank's launch where they didn't bugfix it) burned me the hell out on the game and I'm only coming back to it now. The sister of Parvos mission I did with it yesterday was fun though so I'm glad it seems to be in a workable state!
This channel is by far the best "Destiny 2 player plays warframe" saga ive ever seen. Been keeping up since the first warframe upload. As a former destiny player myself this brings me lots of joy to watch your progression. It only gets better and better and FOR FREE!! no paid expansions.
If you open the abilities menu for any Frame theres a spot that says tips and you can hover over it and cycle through some tips for the Frame, and they'll often contain information about "Hidden mechanics" that arent exactly listed on the Frame's ability itself
Normally, i don't say stuff like this, but I think u should thank that guy for gifting u the Grendel. Farming for that guy is a literal nightmare. Like, I'd rather hunt for Equinox twice over before grinding for Grendel again.
He thanked everybody that gave him gifts, but he still wants to go through all of the game's farming segments on his own, to experience everything first hand
Absolutely loving watching you go through this and get blown away at every quest, its like how I experienced it but speedran instead of waiting years between quests
1:06 I like to consider myself a fashion expert, so no offense but I can't help but mention that it's all very similar shades of white and blue. I'd suggest throwing in some black or other contrasting color to help it not look so monotone. Cotton candy excalibur gets the heat off, but monotone gauss is criminal
Depends on what feelings you're going for, his gauss in my opinion is perfect, black makes it look more professional or clean, but rn his looks a bit more fresh like mint due to the colors, which is pretty nice.
the thing about the warframes is that, there are so many diferent ways to play them. even when you have a frame who has 1 main ability that pretty much defines them, like excalibur. you still get enough variance to make it not a single build deal.
@doubtful_lion5694 that’s awfully generous! Can’t remember off the top of my head which ones I need though. I’ll have to check when I get home from work
Mactic little tip about Gauss is he really works best if you don’t stop moving. Which is the reason you typically see veterans run him on a daily basis.
I’ve played Warframe loooong ages ago before I started playing D2. Gauss was my fav! & to finally see a prime version. Gotta see what build you put in this frame. Gonna be crazy.
I'd argue Stynax is fine to use since DE gave him out for free if you logged in during his release but it's also understandable if you don't want to use him.
Pro tip for Gauss to anyone interested in playing him Its easy to be immortal or practically immortal Outside of his 2nd ability making him immune to almost all forms of damage if he reaches 100% with redline on, it gives you energy. You can abuse the energy you gain from getting hit to keep yourself alive with quick thinking Quick thinking uses energy to keep you from dying from a fatal attack, while his 2nd gives you energy from being attacked. You could complete SP missions without dying with only quick thinking and flow/primed flow on. You can also subsume nourish if you don't want to kill enemies for energy orbs. You will die eventually if you just stand still, but other mods and his passive make it difficult to worry about dying.
I’ve attempted to get in to Warframe on and off since 2013 but could never fully grasp the progression and questing, until I watched your play throughs. You explain things so well and in detail, asking the right questions of your community about things which I haven’t understood for about 10 years. I understand more now than I ever have and am having a blast playing it, so thank you!
dude im on a holiday from warframe for a year now, but the more vids i watch from you the more i want to play it again. thank you for making me fall in love again with warframe
What is the point of playing the game if other people constantly gift you stuff? I can understand one or two frames and a couple of skins but, getting everything from others instead of playing the game for yourself takes the fun out of the game. That longer period it takes you to get something is the fun. The best memories are made while grinding with other people and feeling accomplished when you get what you want. I remember getting my first prime warframe, it was great. Or, when I finally got 100 platinum from trading to buy my first armor set. That's what makes the game great.
He isn't. Any weapons, Warframes or anything that'll affect gameplay he doesn't use aside from cosmetics. He literally said he isn't gonna use the Warframes people sent him but he will be using the ones he grinded for. In multiple of his previous videos he explains this multiple times. I'm sure all the biggest wf content creators get and accept gifts from their viewers all the time and I bet if someone gifted you some cool stuff you wouldn't complain and use it without hesitation.
Gauss is probably my favorite frame ever. Fast as hell and you can build him to be an AOE ability spamming nightmare or you can set him up to be a crazy fun weapon platform. Either way, he's invincible as long as you keep doing the most fun thing to do in the game: going fast. Build for duration, you don't need strength higher than 100.
Love your vids mate, that said, i would like to say something. I hope anyone reading this won't get it the wrong way! As much as your new warframe player journey is really helpful for a lot of new players, 99% of the new players dont get free handout treatment of constant free out right frames, slots, boosters and what not. So they can't relate them selves with you vids to help them in their journey, so if you can just not accept those kind of gifs and try playing on public lobby and stuff till like mid game i think that would help new players alot more, and of course getting help from chat while streaming is a good help for you and new players that are watching your vids too. I'm not trying to be salty or anything just what i think is all, keep up the good work mate 👍
He is far too deep for that now. To get the actual new player expirience right, he should start MR1 and cancel the gifting option. But we all know he wont do it.
Gauss is the frame that brought me to the game, have main him ever since i got him, haven't get off him for a long time. Can't get enough of my speedy boi
I still remember the railjack resource requirements. Was a massive pain in the ass. Literally any new player who just played when the railjack released couldn't build it. It required a large amount of resources. Now its at a smaller requirement.
Love watching your progression with mechanics and reaction to the story, keep up the vids and enjoy the ride! I used to watch ur d2 guides before I had to stop playing it, so glad to be watching u again :3
So glad you're posting so frequently, cause I'm supper curious to see your reaction to the rest of the game, the more things it has to introduce to you and the main story that trust me, you have almost not even left the starting line on this games story 👀👀👀😂
Once upon a time I told you there was too much of your room in your webcame You told me your room was beautiful I agree. Your love for this game is super precious and has got me back into it also to and thankyou
tip for Corpus hacking: start with all of the 'wide' angle pieces facing the correct direction and then do the smaller ones. The smaller angle pieces become more obvious when the wider angle pieces are in place. The wider angle pieces only have 1 option
Glad to see you are enjoying warframe. Gauss is a really good fun and cool frame, working all the way to most endgame stuff. Tho you might wanna steer clear of infested. Yeah poison ouchies.
Two cold and then one heated thermal sunder is more than enough to strip enemy armor. If you would've done that to the Spectre, his health bar turns from yellow to red and he is super easy to kill. That's what the difference between yellow and red health bars means. Yellow means they have armor and you can strip it a million different ways.
Yeah, learning the play style of each frame is hugely satisfying. Some you’ll find you’ll put 3-4 builds on for different situations (for instance a Whip Khora versus a crowd control…or whatever). But learning them is a blast.
I love how mac Is having an absolute blast in warframe is I still remember my first time building all sorts of frames now I just have a broken build with toridd and life is on easy mode for everything
Gauss prime is one of my favorites. I've been running him with a melee build. Group everything with his one augment, freeze em with his 3, slash em with nikana prime. I have a riven that gets me to 99.8% crit on light attacks at 12x combo so I run melee duplicate
mac, i think you should farm Voruna after you unlock the conjunction survival mission nodes on Lua. Shes a a** kicking swiss army knife of a frame. best melee frame in the game at the moment. her passive is she has 4 passives, one for each ability. 1) makes her invis and speedy, and passive gives parkour velocity. aka zoomy stealth frame perfect for spy/sabotage/capture missions. 2) spam to spread 5 random status effects per use. passive gives her complete status immunity. 3) helps her get her energy back with melee kills or health back with head shot kills. passive gives her heavy atk efficiency which is useful in gaining her up to 10x damage multiplier. 4) her ult deals a lot of slash damage and causes bleed procs. passive gives her an out in case shes dealt lethal damage. the ability has 5 charges and an augment mod. i highly recommend you get the augment mod from your syndicates if you want her charges to come back. the passive can only be use once but stays until expended and then goes on cooldown for 60 seconds. switching passives will 100% put it on cooldown if youve already used it. heres a gameplay loop for you if youd like: (1)hold to enter her 3rd passive then use her 1 to go invis followed by entering her 4+aug+equilibrium.(2) then use her 2 ability and then her ult on one enemy then repeat on another enemy to nuke them and any other nearby enemies. youll need to use her 3 to help with the energy youll need for that. equilibrium will make it so whether you pick up health or energy youll be refilling your health and energy. her 1 is great for survivability. and her 3rd passive is great for getting her 10x multiplier. her 2 can also help you get your ult charges back if you find yourself running low and killing stuff too fast. though more than likely it is possible that it caused your charges to run low in the first place if youre doing low level content. if you do lower level content then you can omit her 2 ability from the loop and just use her 4 or vice versa. be aware of nullifiers, or map pitfalls/death, or over spamming your ult charges. theyll kick you from your channeled abilities (1 and 4) and youll have to restart the gameplay loop get your damage stacks back. sadly mobalytics doesnt support warframe to my knowledge otherwise id make a build link. Happy farming Mac. We all lift together.
Yo Mactics just wanted to let you know that you were told how to use Gauss' Thermal Sunder wrong! You want to first make sure your battery (on the right) is full! You can do this by casting red line and running around, using your 1, or using the cold version of Thermal Sunder. Once it is full and built u p to 100% preferably, you will be able to cast the heat version of Thermal Sunder without it expending battery level. Then you simply cast it a few times (usually 5 or so), and then cast the cold version ONCE. It will condense ALL the damage the heat procs would have done into 1 damage instance, whilst also stripping the armor of all enemies in range. This will NUKE pretty much ANY enemy in the game. Build into range, duration, and efficiency, with a at least 100% strength!
Tip, use some mods for the parazon, the ones I use give a chance to autohack consoles, one to extend the time for hacks, and lastly blood for money, that refills the ammo of your weapons for finisher kills
Even if you don't want to I would highly recommend going mach making for rail jack unless you have friends to play with, be after Earth things get real
I swear when I unlocked railjack I was genuinely surprised. This game has the guts to completely change the formula of its fundamental gameplay mechanics and offer something very unique. Loving WF now.
If you can get ahold of him, Nezha is another hypermobile frame that goes mega fast, but instead of by running, he does it by sliding. Also his Deluxe is killer. Nova and Loki can also straight up teleport, and (I think) Loki's isn't even range limited
For the hacking once you reach a certain point in game time you just craft ciphers. Or you if you don't wanna do that there's a mod for the parazon that makes you randomly complete the puzzle automatically.
Get Mactics another gauss main here: If you use redline and kinetic plating in tandem you can increase your melee damage! Throw your thermal sunder on top of that and your basically an aoe/melee NUKE!!
I have been gobbling up those videos like a hungry munchmonster because your enthusiasm to experience the game at your own pace and your curiosity is just very nice to see. What I will say now will not change my mind on continuing to follow the series nor is it something I truly care about, but I do think it would be nice to see you unlock every frame and weapon yourself. And it obviously is not your fault that you get gifted frames and weapons, nevertheless I think it would be benefitial especially for the youtube experience if you sold them immediately. Firstly because everyone currently watching the stream in that moment really sees your commitment to unlocking everything by yourself and that might entice them to stop gifting frames although it might come off as ungrateful. But then again you have stated multiple times you dont want those gifts. Secondly while watching these videos that dont show every gift you get throughout the stream it becomes clearer what amount of grinding you actually did. This is quite a long text so Ill end it here, but just to reiterate I dont really care what you decide to do in that regard, its still enjoyable to watch. The only "disappointment" i would feel if you changed your mind along the way and started playing those frames and weapons. edit: also just a small tip you might have already been told on stream. for EVERY ability that has the hold/tap function you can INDIVIDUALLY invert the hold/tap order if you want.
