In level cap (ik very niche) your battery gets 1 shot w your damage redux/knockdown ability immunity active. Which makes spamming heat procs into the frost ones for armor strip not fully armor strip w empty battery. Not sure if helpful but ik someone's will appreciate.

I absolutely love how you presented this video, much like my top 3 Warframetubers. Also, as a Gauss main, I approve of this message. I would also like to share some stuff about Gauss as well from the perspective of someone who often uses a balanced build for Gauss (High duration, good range to still utilize Thermal Sunder a lot) to give some new users some insight as well! - If you want to armor strip specific targets much more *seamlessly* (such as armored Demolysts, or to immediately armor strip Violence/Malice before they kick your ass) in order to dispatch the target swiftly, you can prime your target with either Heat or Cold (using something such as the innate Cold procs from Epitaph explosions) and then perform the corresponding Sunder, you can armor strip them completely (as long as you have full battery of course). In simpler terms: Epitaph cold explosions + Heat Sunder(Full Battery) = Fast and easy armor strip! - Viewers may have not noticed in the Thermal Sunder section, casting them in a specific order ragdolls your foes in different directions. Cold then Heat explode *away* from you, while Heat then Cold implodes them *towards* you. If you choose not to utilize the [Mach Crash] augment (if you ever forma Gauss for different builds) you can still use this to your advantage for easy combo counter maintenance if they aren't dead yet. Speaking of melee, you also get more melee damage if your kinetic plating is active and the battery is at 100%. - If you wish to be swifter at parkouring as Gauss, you can still wall jump during mach rush to maintain some vertical height, and that you can Aim Down Sights rather than pressing the ability key to be more proactive and reactive to change your direction more easily (like if the direction of the objective is perpendicular to your mach rush trajectory, or that you need to mach rush to a different direction to save yourself and wall latch then bullet jump and then mach rush again in the intended direction, or that you see one of those floor openings in the grineer ship tileset and ADS will let you slide seamlessly and right back into mach rush!). - I am an endorser of utilizing a blue tauforged health regen shard. It may seem useless, but personally I can live without an extra 10/15% ability duration in favor of minor QoL in the event that I get massive chip damage from toxin clouds (or just straight up toxin damage) in Steel Path so that I don't have to bother going into Operator to use Magus Repair all of the time. - I can also endorse [Rolling Guard] if anyone wants to forma Gauss more and feel that they can live without one of these mods. While it may also seem useless, it is a great insurance policy to not die to an oncoming Venomous/Electric Eximus Unit, or Toxin Ancient, or an incoming Violence/Malice, or to simply brush off a magnetic or toxin proc before they become a possible death sentence. It can also cover the downtime of Redline at the end of its duration so that you can go right back into Redline + Kinetic Plating before your invincibility from RG runs out. - Respect the venomous/electric eximus units, Violence, Malice, and toxin osprey clouds in Steel Path if you can't kill them as they spawn!! - Another wonderful insurance policy to not die is utilizing a Panzer Vulpaphyla with mods [Panzer Devolution] + [Martyr Symbiosis]. MS will "desecrate" corpses and it will meet the conditions to save your life if in jeopardy (such as getting caught offguard from extremely hard hitting toxin damage/status). This will result in the panzer using PD to go into a larval form and shoot viral and respawning in 30 seconds. - Not only do you want to spam Mach Rush as much as possible for Red Line, it is also a good idea to mow down units since running them over will also give you more battery faster. - I would also recommend using Arcane Energize. Even with energy gained from getting hit by damage types kinetic plating protects you from, Gauss is absolutely energy intensive when you kill everything, which may leave behind a couple of energy orb treats. Even an *unranked* Arcane Energize is a tremendous help in energy management (and your squadmates might thank you... although nobody ever has). - I will also mention Auras. Personally I used Enemy Radar in the past, but I've leaned toward Corrosive Projection since it slightly reduces the battery required to armor strip when I'm still charging up Redline, and to just kill armored units a little more faster if I don't feel like Sundering. Brief Respite is also a great idea if you wish to shield gate with [Catalyzing Shields]. Just spam your 3 a little bit and you got your shields back. I'm at the brink of giving up on my gauss but after watching this video, it made me create another loadout that I can just switch to if i need to do exterminate missions even in steelpath!! Thank you!
A few tips that haven't been mentioned: 1. While Redline is active, K. Plating grants +100% melee dmg, similar to a [Pressure Point] mod. 2. While K. Plating is active, Mach Rush gets +100% slash dmg and guaranteed slash proc, which isn't much but you can probably kill fodder in low lvl missions just by running into walls. Similarly, running through Thermal Sunder with Mach Rush will add Heat/Cold dmg to the wall-hitting explosion, but it doesn't say anything about status procs. 3. Due to some math shenanigans, you can't armor strip at 82% battery with [Corrosive Projection], but rather, your battery needs to be at about 96%. This means it's a bit annoying to armor strip when the supercharger isn't at 100%, but it's still doable if you source your heat procs from your weapons or something. 4. Yes, sunder doesn't care from where the heat/cold procs come from. You can prime enemies with heat from an Epitaph or K. Nukor/Tenet Cycron, melee that can proc [Melee Influence] while still able to have heat modded on it and so on; and then just use cold sunder to armor strip them and detonate the remaining heat procs as blast dmg. 5. With the introduction of bond mods for companions, modding for Gauss has also become easier. The [Seismic Bond] mod grants about 30% ability efficiency fully stacked , and the condition for "channeled" ability is met by Kinetic Plating and Redline, so you can drop [Fleeting Expertise] to have more duration in a sunder build. Simply put a Helstrum on your Diriga or Nautilus and the stacks should remain high. You should probably still keep a loadout with 175% efficiency for cases like the Circuit, where you can't bring a pet.

The best gauss mix between duration and nuking Brief respite i just use it cus this is a spamable thermal sunder build and if i were hit by electricity i can just spam it over and over till its over or you could use the speed mod, cunning drift,primed continuity,streamline,equilibrium,umbrul intensify,overextended,primed flow,fleeting expertise rank 3 since you only need 170 efficiency,and stretch Arcanes: molt augmented and efficiency 4 red shards duration and one yellow casting speed You can switch out umbral intensify for any other mod if you have molt augmented maxed rank i use intensify cus i only need to get 60 kills to get 100% strength back instead of 200 this build took me to level 1k on zariman youll only have 65 seconds of his redline and kinetic plating but the lower the duration the quicker you reach 100% and the quicker you reach invincibility and full potential thermal sunder
Corrosive projection is mandatory for steelpath, if you can't armor strip the grineer you're not gonna kill them unless you cast 300 trillion times. If you don't want to worry about your shields going down just use arcane aegis, after it procs once it permanently decreases shield recharge delay, paired with redline you won't have to worry unless you aren't killing everything quickly and the enemies are lvl 1000+.
@strateks9611 i havent used corrosive projection thermal sunder works just fine pretty much you can recast like a second time to fully armor strip if youre spamming without full battery
i first played Gauss when the prime came out and i thought I'd farm it because why not. it is now my most played frame. running around as a weapons platform with a Torid might just be the single most fun way to play warframe
After the new status proc update im thinking of running a blast nuke build with gauss. Been having fun ragdolling mobs with the alt fire from the corinth prime

best gauss build no contest: corrosive projection for easy 30m nuke, rush, primed continuity, primed flow, equilibrium, archon vitality, overextended, stretch, augur reach, streamline arcane energize + molt augmented use dethcube because gauss is super energy hungry with this build: energy generator,synth deconstruct, mystic bond, seismic bond, manifold bond, swift deth, guardian, primed animal instinct, primed regen seismic bond procs off companion weapon hits as well as companion weapon dots, so use helstrum with whatever you want, this gets gauss to 160% efficiency with only streamline if you want more energy use amber shards with energy orb efficiency, and madurai with power transfer for casting speed ability loop is rush to a group of enemies, cast heat sunder, rush, heat sunder, cold sunder. this will wipe out most things, but a third heat sunder may be necessary before the cold sunder. for eximus units just shoot them or use heat inherit primer if you have any improvements please reply i need this build to be absolutely perfect
I don't get it, you're using the augment to group enemies with rush? If that's the case, that's unnecessary, sunder will have way more range than rush can so you are handicapping yourself using it. But who knows, if you can get more than 200 kills per minute (a normal sunder build gets 200kpm) with that setup upload a video and I'll copy your build, I'm curious about it now.

And for any console players out there is a setting in the options to change the ability from tap to hold on just about every ability on every Warframe that has the abilities like that
I realise at some point steel path the damage is enough for me to be at full energy, so i make builds on sheer duration and power but i keep a quickthinking and rage mod just incase things get too out of hand. If you are being overwhelmed you are not moving fast enough.
Me with molt helminth, amalgam serration, innodem, sprint boost, rush, amars anguish, armored agility, speed drift, and 5 yellow archon shards for parkour mobility hehe
Hey there, I just wanted to point out that casting speed shards may be redundant on Gauss. Redline grants a casting speed bonus, which increases as the battery is filled. This means you won't need shards to decrease animation time, and can instead use Crimson Duration shards to increase the potency of the buff. To go further, try out Madurai with Gauss. Zenurik is unnecessary given Kinetic Plating's energy conversion. I made a whole video on Gauss as well, and just wanted to put in my two cents. This is very new player friendly. Keep it up. :)
If you plan on doing any kind of endurance missions kinetic plating is useless, outclassed and detrimental. 1. At higher steelpath levels, it's not going to tank anything and they'll eat right through your shields. 2. It's WAY worse than just using arcane aegis and fast deflection, which makes gauss immortal to non shield ignoring attacks (like toxin damage). Also this is even in level cap. 3. It eats right through the battery, at higher levels a single shot will take half the battery rendering you useless for 1-5 seconds (depending on how fast you can recover the battery). 4. It's unreliable as you need redline to be at 100% to not have to worry about BASIC enemies, because the ones you need to worry about can still hit you. 5. Good gauss builds don't use strength either, kinetic plating would be a burden for the potential of any build since you'd need to maintain 100% strength, if you have less than 100% strength kinetic plating becomes useless in steelpath. With corrosive projection you can still armor strip without redline at 100% with 40% strength, I tested it. The only way kinetic plating is useful is when you are either; Not playing steelpath (in which case you don't even need protection since redline's shield recharge delay decrease alone makes you practically immortal), doing short steelpath missions with weak enemies and a duration (not nuking) build, even in this situation you are just fine using arcane aegis. If you want energy use nourish, while you can. I may be tripping but I feel like nourish buffs wellspring (zenurik ability) energy rate. Vazarin is better than madurai, madurai is only useful for void cascade. i still believe zenurik is the way to go, but vazarin is necessary for endurance. Also you're right about the casting speed thing, it's better to go for duration since there's more buffs you get, even if you'd get more casting speed with the amber shards.
I'll counter some of your argument by stating that Kinetic Plating isn't exactly useless. It provides capped out energy in level cap, and while it does eat away at your battery, it's not hard to regen it at all. I have been to level cap with Gauss on Madurai and Vazarin, and either are great. Zenurik, while nice, only offers energy regen. This is something that Gauss does not need much of, since the energy conversion from Kinetic Plating is calculated BEFORE mitigated damage. Of course, level cap will basically invalidate any damage reduction that is not 100%, but getting there with a Redline that lasts about 70 seconds is fairly easy. Having decent range and casting Cold Thermal Sunder once renders most threats useless, allowing charge to build up. Also, using Brief Respite and Fast Deflection is usually enough to keep Gauss alive through constant shield regeneration. Maybe consider using an arcane that offers extra damage, like Arcane Avenger. Corrosive Projection is nice, but we have plenty of other options to defense strip now. Finally, level cap builds usually use Rolling Guard for extra I-frames. 3 seconds is more than enough time to get back all the shields lost. I hope this helps. @@strateks9611

Gauss is so good idk why you wouldn't put at least a couple forma into him, which really helps to min-max his stats. I've fully maxed out my Gauss 155% Dur, 130% Eff, 280% Rng and 100% Str (using 4 Tauforged strength shards) and the nuking potential is crazy.

There’s no real substitute for it. Which means you have a flex slot. You could slot in whatever you want, casting speed, ability range or duration etc :’)
I never thought of doing negative strength build. I will have to try that. I neg STR build might be fun with the Strun Prime Incarnon heavy status build, laugh like an Anime Antagonist while Grineer or Infested melt in from on me, still not sure of how to ignore Corpus shields without use of the Operator/Drifter focus schools or a Tenent Cycron with magnetic.

This is funny cus i found a build for it on overframe and tried it on new, at the time, gauss, and i was able to put the whole 3 forma build with 0 forma, and it was so broken i started playing steel path without much fear lol. It was so funny that i bought the prime access and started forma gauss prime. The only thing im missing on the build is to level up archon vitality for health, but the double heat is already there since level 1, so im not in a hurry to level up that mod. I dont like his 2nd ability and found myself barely using it at all, the drainage of the battery is too high of a cost for my taste so i changed it for roar ... cus i dont have eclipse. Though, it doesnt feel like a 20% increase, but a 10% on damage
even I am guilty for running Primed sure footed on every single warframe I own. (I like my AOI weapons quite a lot and not because I try KMF builds I promise)
As someone with 0 IQ. I will use Primed sure footed since I have nourish on his 2nd and Brief respite (or augur mods) for shield gate which you can clap 1rst for shield recharge 🗿. For even further retardiness, I highly suggest molt augmented if you slap roar on his 3rd for extra fire power instead of energized munition 🗿 And that was possible without forma. I know those sounded dumb but it did worked all the way so try it yourself.
