A developer commented that they're heavily working on revamping sounds in game and the T-Series was just the first to get tested in that new sound treatment.
One thing that I would love to see in BeamNG as well as in other games about cars, is an audio system that takes count of the sound reverberation that occurs in presence of walls and other obstacles. Imagine how cool it would be to hear such a system in action. I think that Assetto Corsa does this, I noticed some effects when driving near walls, I think that's cool and it would be nice to have this feature in more games and in general having more games paying more attention to how sound behaves in different environments
@@ADMINM-ld7vu Yeah I know, that's a common thing to do in videogame development. Basically you have a big collision box detecting if the player entered the area and when he does you apply a reverb filter with particular parameters dictated by the specific area. This somehow has been enough for years to simulate sound, but it isn't really realistic. The reflection of soundwaves isn't as simple as a reverb effect, if you have a close wall on your left and an area with obstacles on your right, take for example a large place with some trees, something like that which blocks the sound, then you would hear the engine louder on the left side and less loud on the right side. It is difficult to simulate, but it surely would be cool. We would probably be a lot better in simulating sound if the industry payed more attention to this aspect of realism
I will say that the jake brake is a little bit derpy, at high RPM jake brakes under heavy load really scream, this one kind of sounds like the hitbox marker sound. But that's the only thing I can say about it that's bad the rest of it's all beautiful and I'm sure that they could probably refine the sound even more because the engines sound great
@@4xeFanatic2023 yeah definitely sounds a lot better in the interior but I think they could probably do a little bit more, hopefully someday they might actually go to the active engine sound simulation that Ange the great is making. It would make everything sound tons more realistic
The sound of the engine on the outside is awesome! On the inside it's a bit too muffled, not so detailed. The jake brake sound in not so great at the moment, could be improved in future updates.
I wish there was some sort of transmission sound like that axle whine from an allison 2500 for the trucks and buses to give it more of a realistic feeling if thats possible
Same with me man, I waited 2 hours last night for it to update and when it finally decided to finish updating I loaded the game it was basically unplayable🤦♂️ I was so pissed 😡 I can’t even go on free roam because all the maps are gone and there is no sound. Someone plz tell me what’s going on. It will be much appreciated.
I don't know how much the gear is but if you include the range, it totals up to 8 in the video which is not what i thought it would be since most trucks in real life has a 18 speed or 13 speed depending on the truck.
