Our favorite shark leads the crowd in the 7th inning stretch with "Take Me Out To The Ball Game". I was genuinely surprised with how many people just went along with Hololive Night. Plenty of regular attendees just sang along!
this is not new information, home teams in football (soccer) have usually a 15-20% higher win rate in their homeground because of crowd cheers, and a study was done during covid when there were no crowds and the advantage went away almost completely. having a cute anime girl cheer for you will statistically make your win rate higher
The better part of this collab is the mutual gains from both sides. The dodgers have new baseball fans who came to the game for Hololive and now Hololive has more fans through the Dodgers. I saw the lines for the Hololive merch and the crazy part was most of them were wearing dodgers jerseys which means Hololive fans either bought jerseys or dodger fans became Hololive fans that day
"attention, a lost child just showed up at the broadcast booth, she asked if she could sing and we just decided she's too cute to deny, after the song please come pick up your child, thank you"
A very apologetic Japanese business man shows up, his suit is nice so he must be a CEO or something... for some reason the words *best girl* come to mind. Yagoo: "Ah thank you Announcer San. She is very happy and makes cute trouble." He leads the sassy shark away... you feel like this is not the first time something like this has happened.
The people that show up for Goomba's and merch stall was more nutty. The line went around the stadium for it. Not only that, people were waiting in line and not going to watch the game just to get her merch. The stadium management had to close the booth and kick people out at 11 pm.
@@Purepenny1 i saw the compilation clips that showed some tweets from those people waiting in line for merch lol. so many people complained because they spent the whole time waiting to buy merch (and ended up not getting it due to high demands) so they missed the whole game, and some never even sat down in their seats. i'm here being like, dudebros, you're missing the whole point of the event. if this is what you chose to do with your time, you've got no right to complain lmao. i don't blame people for wanting merch, but it's just a nice thing to have if you can get it. watch the game instead. listen to gura sing. enjoy the drone show. i feel like compared to those people, i'm getting way more out of it just sitting at home, half the globe away, watching clips i can find. every time someone posts a new POV of gura singing at the event, i click. and i still enjoy it every time. if i were at the game? i'd be one of those guys eating peanuts and cracker jack and singing along to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." that looks like SO much fun.
@@RadioballZ129 Yeah I got that part. I was trying to ask the person above about their interaction with their allegedly homophobic father, but Google said no on actually tagging them for some dumb reason
This just in: US Department of Defense considering Holo-buffs for mission operations. You heard it, boys. No more 'Fortunate Son' on the Helos. We're going in with Ochame Kinou.
Considering how well it worked for moral during the baseball game it wouldn't be a bad idea for them to at least consider the possibility of this working.
To be accurate, though, the crowd always sings along to Take Me Out to the Ball Game. That's part of the tradition in every Major League park. The song is so simple musically that it's really made for sing-alongs, and it fits in with the ritual of standing and stretching after the top of the 7th inning. What made this work so well is that Gura - alone among the EN talents, I think - had the right combination and degree of brass and sweetness to make this work for a crowd that had so many people who didn't who she was.
Technically it all started with the UwU rap 😉 But fr gura, ironmouse, pretty much all of hololive and vshojo, I'm so proud of them. They've grown a lot from humble beginnings.
I HAVE to know the reactions of every god fearing, working class, red-blooded Americans that know hardly anything about anime or nerd culture stuff in general. I NEED to know what their response to seeing these hololive vtubers.
Dude, it's LA not Missouri or something, it's also 2024. Most probably don't know much about V-Tuber stuff specifically but I'd bet the majority of attendees under 45 know about anime to at least some degree or another.
I was sitting in an area pretty much devoid of Holo fans minus a few some rows in front. You can hear all of them pretty excited to sing it! There was all sorts of wonder and such throughout the night.
I know you're just indulging in a bit of rhetoric. But I do think we have to loosen our idea of categories in this case. The Dodgers' home crowds in recent years are very diverse, and having foreign star players makes them even more so. The Japanese are coming out to support Ohtani (and maybe Yamamoto, too) in a big way. Even if you remove that from the equation home crowds draw heavily from the Latino community - perhaps the fruit of having had first-rate Spanish broadcasters for decades. Now, then: How many of them are weebs? I don't know. But I will say that the demographic profile of a typical Dodgers home crowd doesn't look much different from LA Comic Con or the Frank and Son comics/collectibles show.
Already not interested at all in watching sports, and baseball was at the bottom of that list of things I’m not interested in, but this has piqued my interest. If it’s got someone like me looking at baseball, it probably has a million more eyes suddenly watching baseball. So it was an excellent move on their part. Miraculously, when you give people a fun thing that they like rather than tired social activist nonsense, you’ll see a sudden boost.
They’ve begun the takeover. First it’s baseball. Next NASCAR? Basketball (as long as it’s an actual collab like this one and not whatever you want to call what Niji did)? Football? Honestly could see a Hololive car at Daytona or the Brickyard. Even if it’s not in the actual race Yagoo could take it around the track for a lap beforehand.
@@midniteryder_3-16 Why? They succeeded with MLB. And if Niji can get the NBA to work with them with their whatever you call it then it’s not too far reaching to say Hololive could have another successful collab if they do another one.
I think after she sung that and everybody sung it the enemy team is like you know what let's lose on purpose let them have the win this is too precious I cannot bear to destroy this joyous moment for these people but you know what fellas will fight hard in our next fight that is probably what the coaches said to the whole team is just like you know what let this let them have the win let these people who are so happy and excited a huge win and let them get a home run guys because how can you be a coach and hear all the crowds cheering for your enemy in such harmonious glorious Tundra of symphony of Joy how can you rob that from them. Sometimes as a coach when you see something this beautiful you have to just say you know what guys let's lose with dignity and let them have this win we can't do this to the people we can't take this happy joyous moment from them with disappointment and sadness let's face this team again in our own home game.
gura should be on a basketball jersey outfit..... miss the oppunity or not enough time.......making a models might takes a long time, if there more time i bet hololive put her she in dodgers team outfit...
@@xxx-lq7ho This was shot on a Galaxy S24 Ultra. Samsung seems to have ruined the super telephoto's stability. The software keeps trying to stabilize on random parts of the frame. Everytime i tried to video Ohtani at bat, the phone kept slowly swaying around until i forced it to lock the focus down. This was the best i could do after pulling my phone out in 2 seconds 😂
