I recommend the thai series "I told sunset about you" and also the Korean movie "Two weddings and a funeral" (I bet you have already watched this one but I would still love to see your reaction and listen to your review 😊) Also "In between seasons" (Korean movie) was a really good one as well and of course "Night flight"(Korean movie)!
@@invinciblecucumber Well all the movies/series I have mentioned have either an open or happy ending so I believe you can proceed without having your heart broken at the end! However most of them are quite "dark" or "heavy" so you will definitely feel emo at times while watching them (at least I did lol).

감독인 루카 구아다니노는 사랑과 이별에 대한 불안정한 심리를 아름다운 풍경과 절제된 패션 그리고 음악으로 세련되게 정제할 줄 아는 힘이 있는 것 같아요. 또 개인적으로 아이 엠 러브에서 틸다 스윈튼이 그랬듯, 티모시 샬라메의 눈빛과 연기는 이탈리아와 프랑스 경계 그 어딘가의 눈이부셔 바스라질 듯 한 풍경과 잘 어우러져 빛을 발했다 봅니다. 디아님이 말했듯 이 영화는 퀴어라기 보단 애틋한 첫사랑 이야기로 저에게도 다가옵니다. 갑자기 또 보고 싶어 지네요.

꺄악 티모시닷!! 개인적으로 감독의 전작들을 좋아하기도 했고, OST에 빠져 보게 된 영화에요. 소년의 아름다움을 잘 그려냈고, 두 배우의 케미 덕분에 국내에서도 흥행에 성공했고 팬덤까지 생긴 영화라 저도 기억에 오래 남았어요. 후로 티모시의 필모를 샅샅이 찾아보고 했으니 말이죠 ㅎㅎ 영화의 배경이 된 이탈리아의 여름과 감독이 추구하는 색감과 배우들의 섬세하고 치밀한 연기까지 버릴것 없는 영화라 생각하는데. 디디커플 리뷰 덕분에 또 한번 복습하고 싶어졌어욥!!
저도 디너구리님처럼 강가씬 그리고 둘이 서로 마음 확인 후 밤에 나무에 올라가서 서로 내가 이때 너한테 싸인 보냈었다 하면서 서로 들떠서 고백하는 장면도 너무 좋았어요~~ 이 영화는 뭔가..퀴어여부를 떠나서 섬세하고 잔잔하고 풋풋한 사랑이야기 같아서 더 맘에 닿았던거 같아요☺️

ㅠㅠㅠ... 저도 이 영화를 작년 고2가 시작될 무렵에 봤었죠.. 처음에는 저도 이게 확실하게 퀴어 영화(썸네일이 기대고 있는 거라 뭔가 그럴 수도 있겠다 라는 생각은 했었지만)인줄은 몰랐어요. 그냥 주변에서 명작이다 이런 소리를 좀 많이 들었던 거 같아서, 마침 보게 되었었죠. 처음에는 저도 막 흥분하고..허허.. 사람이니.. 그렇게 보다가 중반부(?)쯤 넘어와서 솔직히 점점 눈물이 많아졌어요. 왜냐하면 그때부터 이미 결말이 좀 보였었어요. 정말 사랑하는 사이의 떠날 수 밖에 없는 관계라니.. 진짜.. 전 퀴어 영화 자체를 그냥 잘 안보고 별로 슬프거나 그런 느낌이 든 적이 없었는데 그냥 후반부는 거의 보는 내내 울었던거 같아요. 둘이 서로의 이름을 부르는 장면과 그리고 엘리오의 '당신이 떠나지 않았으면 좋겠어요'와 '정말 후회돼요. 조금만 더 일찍 이런 관계가 되었었다면..' 이 부분에서 그냥 막 콸콸콸 ㅠㅠ... 저도 게이인데 누군가를 맘놓고 좋아해본적도, 사겨본적도 없지만서도 이 기분을 그냥 좀 많이 알겠더라고요..

i told the sunset about you has been requested so many times but it's sooo good!!! it kinda has a similar vibe to call me by your name but the storyline is different (and in my opinion better) it's a thing that can happen to everyone which makes it very emotional. I cried a few times every episode😅😅😅

Just for your information, the short shorts weren't considered gay. The story takes place in italy in the 1980's. Back then, straight men used to wear really short shorts.

What I love about it, is how you said, it focuses on emotions rather than on stuff happening around them, so even though it is really slow paced, it really hooks you in into their relationship and dinámica of the couple. My recommendation is thai bl TharnType The Series. You will fall in love with the characters and their chemistry. MewGulf chemistry is immeasurable. The second season is over there is still a special episode in which their wedding is. My first and last bl drama. You will understand why after watching the series!

Southern Europeans we usually kiss each other as presentation (the times depend on the country, for Spain it is 2 times), but it is customary that two men don't do that, unless they're gay!
Not true, at least not in all Europe. In Italy, men within a family kiss each other on both cheeks during festivities or when they go to meet relatives.
I think the guys described the movie well, it was the concept of the writer as well, he wanted to focus on the birth of the "feeling of love", it's not that this is a BL movie, this is a movie about love between 2 souls. The movie did a great job capturing all the experiences and the development.

I've only seen clips and short videos but it feels so. genuine, raw and so real and there isn't that much music and it makes it even better. But the music is also really good though, Mystery of Love is an amazing piece.
