Queer films are better at showing the reality of a LGBTQ+ person, including the characters actually acknowledging their sexuality. (At least that’s what I got from their translation)

저도 배우역 맡은 분이 연기를 넘 잘해주어서 그분 연기력이 더 눈이 갔는데 보다보면 지우도 연기 담백하게 잘 해주었던 것 같아요 실제 본인 성격 반 정도 담은 느낌ㅋ 말도 조곤조곤하게 하고 ㅎ인터뷰 영상 봤는데 말을 진짜 조곤조곤하게 하시고 쑥쓰럼도 마니 타는 성격이더라고요 말도 잘 더듬고 근데 인터뷰보고 다시 연기보면 말도 전혀 안더듬고 부드럽게 잘 이어나가는거보고 더 배역 역할에 잘 스며들었다고 생각했음 과하지않고 담백하게 연기 잘 했던 것 같아요 배우역할 하신 분이 능청스럽게 연기 잘해줘서 탄력받고 지우도 잘해준 너낌~!
퀴어 영화만 한 20년 가까이 봐왔는데 최근 우리나라 BL웹드라마를 보면서 시대가 조금씩은 변하고 있다는 생각이 드네요. 마지막에 오른쪽 분이 말씀하긴 것처럼 퀴어영화는 내적갈등이라든지, 그런 게 있는데 ㅎㅎ 제가 어제 본 유메이크미 댄스나 이 영화는 그게 없네요. ㅎㅎㅎ 영화 보고 검색해봤더니 관련 영상에 뜨길래 잘 보고 갑니다 ㅎㅎ (주변에 게이친구들에게 퀴어영화 좀 보라고 아무리 얘길해도 퀴어영화 얘기할 수가 없었는데 ㅠㅠ 신선하고 새롭네요. 감사합니다!)

You said it was lacking of emotions, You need to watch the drama/movie more than 3 times so that you will notice the small and hidden details. I watch it more than 20 times, I could see a lot of small details that the director purposely made it like that. Jiwoo like Seojun so much that we doesn't even realizes it because most of the part included in the movie are from mixed views. If you watch it carefully, every single things Jiwoo did were for Seojun. Every single things, the blanket, the beer, the food, the trauma, and more. 🥲 IT'S NOT LACKING OF LOVE MOTIVATION at all. IT'S OVERWHELMED WITH IT. It just they purposely made it into small details so that you didn't notice it if you only watch it one or two times. For now, from my personal preference, To My Star is the best. 🥰🥨 But I really like the ending commentary. All the actors in the Movie/Drama did a GREAT and AWESOME job!
Yes, I think the same way, I have watched the story 10 times and every single time I discover something different about the portraiyal of their relationships. I actually really love the pacing, it doesn’t feel rushed or faked, it feels so real, no toxic behaviors, no codependency, no infatuation, just pure love. I think that is really common and easier for stories to start with codependency stuff or a huge sexual and pasional desire, but is not so common to represent two people adoring each other and taking care of one another , which makes To my star so different from other stories, there is love and intimacy but also friendship, I love them being so comfortable and lovey dovey with one another instead of the typical story with awkwardness, drama and passion.

Gay ppl play basketball lol you guys just don’t play lol 😂 I think this storyline might have been the most realistic and relatable. The Korean star aside gay couples act just like straight couples they deserve a cute montage where they are doing something anyone else would do. Another edit this top and bottom thing is boring be interchangeable no one needs to stick to one role. I think the analysis at the end was perfect and nicely summarized.

Well firstly i have to say that I enjoyed your video a lot, I laughed so much. But I do have to say something in defense of Seo Joon and Ji Woo's relationship, I think that there was no specific reason why they fell in love because in general when you fall in love truly you don't fall just because of a specific reason but you rather fall in love with that person's "everything". But if I have to put the development of their relationship into a reason I may say that it is always interesting to meet a person that is not like you because you can learn new perspectives and even learn new things about yourself (such as Seo Joon learning that he loves cooking, or Ji Woo discovering that he actually enjoys sleeping with other people 😏). And it even becomes better when that person that is so different to you, is also a person whom you feel comfortable with and also a person that protects you and cares about you.

I really liked this short drama. I wish it had more episodes. Seo Joon was so outgoing and had a brilliant personallity this is why he was perceived as a player by Ji Woo but in reallity he had very few people around him (and a hell of a glass breaking trauma). I still don't get the difference between queer and bl drama though. Could anyone be so kind to explain?
