Man, I can't help but to question the legality of this cartoon. It's directed by Harman and Ising who also directed the Merrie Melodies short "Lady Play Your Mandolin." for Warner Bros. This cartoon features the exact same plot, gags, characters and literal frame-by-frame tracing of said short, with the main difference being the order of the gags, and being made by a different studio and distributed by another distributer. It's also worth noting that the characters in the Merrie Melodies short shared a less then coincidental resemblance to Mickey Mouse, just to emphasize how unoriginal of a team Harman and Ising were.
The musical score sounds a lot more sophisticated than Harman and Ising's cartoons for Warner Bros. Yet it looks like a scene for scene remake of LADY PLAY YOUR MANDOLIN.
I know, but to see the same animation makes me think of the episodes of Merrie Melodies & Looney Tunes (Starring Bosko) Produced by Hugh Harman & Rudolf
