Are you aware that the Boy Scouts of America was started by somebody like her? He moved from Eastern Kentucky to Louisville and missed being outdoors. So he started teaching kids in Louisville, Kentucky, USA skills you'll need to know if being outdoors in a woodsy area. That is some of what Nicole is doing but differently (metal works is an example).
I wonder if this is a reference to the movie, The Blues Brothers. Several times in the film, Jake checks his watch. But we know when he checked out of prison, he got his watch back....but it was non-functional when he checked in.
@@NicoleCoenenit’s all about being surrounded by the right people, but even then we all have our limits. Looks like you had fun, hopefully you met some great people.
One of my absolute favorite channels, and I'm an old straight guy. For some reason, I have a lot of gay women friends and have been called an "honorary lesbian" (they laugh at my Subaru, cargo shorts, and Brandi Carlile records - 🤷). Keep up the great work - love your videos!
As a former firefighter I'm very familiar with that style of ax. We had those that were thin and sharp for cutting. Others were blunter and used for smashing stuff without the blade getting stuck.
That's a firefighter's axe you got there Nicole, a beautiful object lovingly restored , if you ever get locked out of your house , you can now break in , great post , love and happiness to the bride's and you certainly had a good time.❤
I wish i could see this stuff as a kid. I had no idea lesbians were a thing until i had already lost my youth. Exploring romance and sexuality starting from adulthood is HELL
Same, but for being trans. I didn't know being trans was a thing until my senior year of high school. (Once I accepted that, being gay/lesbian followed quite naturally.) Add to it being poor, and thus it took another 13 years to convince my parents to let me start HRT w/o kicking me out on the street. They won't ever respect me though, I don't think. Not to mention they're mentally/emotionally/verbally abusive. Were physically so when I was very little. Yay. /s
@@LexieAssassin oh hey im trans too On one hand if i transitioned earlier, i would have lived through my youth rsther thand just getting by. Im a bit older now, and redoing my experimental phase in my adulthood has been hell!! Im sure you know the feeling On the other hand... i only realized i was trans because i saw enough trans people walking around. I somehow figured out im a lesbian before figuring out im trans -- not very bright over here. Now i get to be visibly trans, and show other trans people that there is a way out. Its dangerous... and i get misgendered constantly... but i get to see a glint of comradery in people's eyes. You never deserved abuse. Im so sorry you had to go through that. But youre here now, despite everything. And the rest of us sre better off for it. We are all stronger together, and we all need you.
Awesome channel so much interesting subjects over everything but most of all fun and laughter and real life . Congratulations to your friends getting married. Nice to see you all having a great time take care 🌷
Her video on the ocean is a miniature masterpiece. It's seriously like therapy for me. I love her style. Reminds me of a lot of Scandinavian movies I have seen.
Good choice. My DW of many years is super capable - we’ve learned a LOT from each other - and it’s a delight to be able to trust and rely on each other’s skills.
I’m a Christian and I’m not gay. But I love your videos, Nicole. They’re fun and your smile makes ME smile! Keep doing what you are doing and don’t change a thing! You are a jewel. ❤️
Whoohoo, perfect weather for that beautiful wedding, and gorgeous location! So glad you chose to share some of that with us, thank you. Fun to see you having such a great time! The last gay wedding I went to was fun, and I was honored to do the music, but it certainly wasn't on a Mexican beach with s yacht, dang it! 😊
From Vieques, that looks fun! Seriously now, come to Vieques, bring your girl, we are very rainbow friendly here. 150+ beaches to choose from, and if you want, you can choose one to have all by yourselves. Vieques Puerto Rico, home of the brightest bioluminescent bay on the planet. And the most chill place you will ever visit.
A scraper, a drawknife, a- wait, is that a straight razor??? Well, okay then, whatever works! Every craft worker eventually ends up with some weird specialty tools and some adapted tools that work great for that one thing they want to do
70 yo male here... I have a fireaxe that I acquired 50 years ago it ,is an excellent splitter. Have not used it in 25 years.......I wish my arms were as good as yours.. Rock On.
Restore/tuning nicely done. The 'Got'ta go-break' I truly hope was the too-fun blast it seemed. Rock on, kiddo! 😎🤙- B.Swift PS - US old f@#ts do grin and often laugh at you young'uns (no disrespect; only grins and nods intended) doing what you do. Again, 😎🤙
So I know this is random, but my wife and I were at the same resort as you celebrating my 40th Birthday. I told her that I thought I saw the lumberjack girl from youtube, but I wasn't sure until you posted this video! Love your stuff!
Speaking of axes, I own Abraham Lincoln's axe. I had to replace the head when it wore out and then, a couple of years later, I had to replace the handle...but it takes up the same space as the original axe.
2-21-2024 - - - - I like this video and the "break" for the vacation/wedding thing too. Glad to see you're making enough money to do stuff like that. Cheers. 👍
The best type of therapy is going out to the woodpile for a bit. I'm a native American from the northern california. US native people love working in the timber.
Looks like you had a blast on your trip. Glad you could get away for a bit and enjoy a change of scenery! Also, you did a nice job on that axe. Looks like it started as a fire axe head on the chonkiest haft I've ever seen.
So great to see you happy Nicole!!!...and every lumberperson needs a get away now and again hey? Okey Dokey! Thanks for your vids...from another lumber splitter from a province close to you!
I watch a ton of vintage guitar repair/restoration stuff on the 'Tubes... this video could be, in my opinion, about10 - 20 minutes longer (more, More, MOAR!) EDIT: oh, the travelogue stuff is supes cool, too!
AAHHH!!!! Don't tease me - Teach Me!!! What parts needed reshaping and why? How was the new shape an improvement? What kind of finish did -you- put on the handle and why was it better than what was there? TEACH ME!!!
