Gaza, Global South and Gender Based Development Sector 

In this video, we delve into the critical intersection of women's rights, conflict, and international development in Gaza and the broader “Global South”, including Pakistan. We explore how the ongoing conflict and political situation in Gaza have impacted women's rights and opportunities, examining silence from some feminists during Israel’s military onslaught even as other feminists work hard to resist oppressive narratives and practices. We explore how a differentiated approach by some feminist has affected the ideology and movement.
We also discuss specific initiatives by international developmental organizations to improve economic opportunities for women in Gaza. Additionally, we examine the strategic goals of international developmental organizations for improving gender equality and women's empowerment in Pakistan over the next five years. We also tackle the criticisms of international development, including lack of decolonial approaches and donor-based funding that can be detrimental for desired outcomes.
