For tent stakes I buy 6 inch galvanized nails at the hardware store. I then clove hitch a loop of some reflective brightly colored cord on to them for pull strings. After you tie the loops onto the top of the stake it helps to put a drop of superglue on each side of the knot which will prevent them from coming untied. These stakes are dirt cheap and you can really beat the hell out of them without bending them.

The fly doesn't cover the tent fully and there are exposed windows. What's the water proofing like when it rains side ways?

Ryan C I will tell you in the next month. Just got it recently and haven’t used it yet. From what I hear it’s pretty good.

Do you guys use air mattresses? If so, how many and what size. We bring a queen sized mattress. And I also like to bring a camp potty. Would the mattress and potty fit?

I have read conflicting report regarding whether this tent could accommodate at least two adult sized camping cots. Some say its big enough for 3 full sized cots. I am only concerned about two, and both would likely be the XL / XW cots that Bass Bro sells. Can anyone set me straight on these concerns?

I think 2 cots would fit. Use caution with the cot feet - that is what caused a hole in our tent floor.

It could possibly fit 3, but super crowded... I use it as a 2 man tent, I like a lot of room. lol
