GBA Longplay [82/1538] Downforce 

100% playthrough of the GBA game "Downforce". Playing through the Arcade mode first on Beginner, Intermediate and Expert difficulties, then playing through Championship mode on Expert, Intermediate and Beginner difficulties, then beating the Time Trial mode with one of the 4 unlockable characters. Finishing it off by showcasing all the other 3 unlockable characters in single race mode. To unlock everything in this game, you really have to beat Arcade and Championship on all 3 difficulties, plus the Time Trial mode. That's quite a lot of racing.
The game runs fast, the courses can be pretty challenging, and all the cars do feel pretty different to drive. The ones with low grip require a lot more braking, but usually have better engine. Those with low handling take longer to start steering, but have decent grip. Those with both grip and steering can have low top speed. All's well, but the game isn't really that fun to play though. It's alright I guess, but nothing I'd ever want to replay in the future. Also, the AI opponents are very slow, even on Expert difficulty. There isn't much challenge to this game, as everything is just too easy. The Time Trial mode also feels very pointless, as it's pretty much impossible to run out of time apart from maybe the first 1 or 2 checkpoints.

Played on Bizhawk 2.9.1 emulator using a pink DualShock2 controller. Savestates were used when making this longplay video. No cheats were used. The overlay and button presses are drawn on the screen using a lua script I wrote.
