Ya killing me with the Pocket stuff dude. I want to get one so bad but had other stuff to take care of first. I’m loving how it’s opening up week by week! I’m expecting them to release a horizontal Pocket this year…. Keep up the great work! Trza aka Trizza.

Looks like the “about” info for the core was just place holder text copied from the NES core. GB palettes work with this, too, right? It looked like there was a menu option for it.

I spoke with budude2 after, the date was a place holder. He only began working on it a few days ago. I was pressed for time, so didn't dive much deeper, so didn't mess too much with pallets.

Well guess my Everdrive is pretty much obsolete now. It's a bit bittersweet. Fast forward, turbo and SGB palettes are really great to see though. Awesome work from the core's devs.

I have the new 1.0.0 installed but I cannot get the Original DMG filter. I used the pocket_updater, it got the new 1.0.0 core and I enabled the display modes, though this was already done before. Still no DMG. I used the System Select to toggle to GameBoy but no dice. I also don't have Mapper Select, though this is a new build dated 1-2-2024 so maybe its not there anymore? I'll try manually installing later and see where that goes.

Slam the brake down into turbo mode? Brakes slow down cars, and turbo mode on PCs made them run slower to make them backwards compatible with games that relied on older CPU timings.

Thanks for another great video! Question, does the fast forward option stay enabled after one button press as a toggle, or do you need to keep holding it down for it to remain active?

RTC and fast forward, just what I was looking for to get back into Pokémon Crystal! I can't wait to see these features implemented on a GBA core. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you warmly for all the fabulous work you do to guide us and keep us informed of developments in these areas.

@@cljoe35 it means your bios file is the wrong size. Use a different one. I cannot help you in finding it, I'm afraid.

I used pocketupdater command line to install the new cores and press Enable all display modes afterwards but in the budude2 cores I see most of the filters e.g. neon pinball etc but not the original DMG filter we're all after on either GBC or GB - did you do something different to enable that for this core?

i am just a bit confused, the core page on github says supports RTC. but does it actually have that working yet? Even the change log mentions a fix for rtc data. is it working and if not when???

I replaced all the folders from the syst files. But nothing really changed. I didn't get the GBC core lol

You should be able too, most of the files can be opened using a text editor. Just at the files and find what you wanna change.

ROM hacks have always worked on the Pocket.

It's very disappointing that the Spiritualized cores havent been updated to unlock the original Gameboy filter. I'll not be buying anymore Analogue products, their support is almost non existent.

As far as I understand the spiritualized cores are developed by the community, not by Analogue themselves. I wonder if these core differ from the Analogue cores in some ways.

@@bearonguitar They are from Analogue, and they are the same cores. Spiritualized is just a burner account for Kevtris. They're not even open source.
