This video contains two recent matches I had with the LV1 Messer F01 on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 650 cost general with great durability, excellent mid-air mobility thanks to the V-Tail Stabilizer skill, good melee damage alongside access to powerful mines. It suffers from being easy to stagger accumulate, having only one instant stun, not having any effective mid range stagger accumulation tools alongside being pretty massive. This suit is really fun, it has a very unique playstyle. The idea is that you jump up into the air to activate the V-Tail skill, then fly around dropping mines on enemies. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is a beam rifle with 2550 power, 8 ammo, 4.5 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 450m range and 30% stagger value. This has great stats all around, it can stagger enemies from long range if need be. It can be fired while boosting if the V-Tail Stabilizer skill is activated.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2750 power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 60% combo modifier and 140% downswing modifier. This has pretty average damage output normally, but benefits from a lunging downswing with good reach. If you can use it while hovering mid-air then it can deal much more damage.
Its first sub weapon is a vulcan gun with 95 power, 30 ammo, 450 RPM, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 7% stagger value and 713 DPS. This has poor DPS but can stagger in 2 seconds. It is your only reliable stagger accumulation option so don't neglect to use it.
Its second sub weapon is a minelayer unit with 1500x4 power, 20 ammo, 3 seconds cooldown, 20 seconds reload, 0.33 seconds swap time and 50%x4 stagger value. When used on the ground, the mines will slowly float down and explode once they hit the floor or another MS. When used mid-air however, they will drop down much more quickly, meaning that you can drop them right on enemies heads if you are flying over them.
Its third sub weapon is a smoke launcher with 1 ammo, 20 seconds reload time and 0.5 seconds swap time. This grants LV1 Stealth for 10 seconds.
Its fourth sub weapon is a shield gatling gun with 170 power, 80 ammo, 720 RPM, 18 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 275m range, 2040 DPS and 2% stagger value. This has short range and awful stagger power, but makes up for it with gigantic DPS output. It can easily melt raids if your allies set you up.
The LV1 Messer F01 has 23000 HP, 28 ballistic defence, 29 beam defence and 21 melee defence. This is really good durability for a 650 cost general, it is basically equivalent to that of a 700 cost general. This is made even better by it having a 25% damage reduction legs buffer, 15% reduction right shoulder buffer and 30% reduction waist add-on buffer. It also has LV1 Emergency Evasion and LV1 Maneuver Armor for defensive skills.
In terms of mobility it has 130 (133 including ground affinity) walking speed, 215 boosting speed, 80 thrust and 72 (78 including affinity) turning speed. It has below average mobility on the ground, but has powerful skills which more than make up for it if used properly, such as LV2 Forced Injector, LV4 Quick Boost and LV4 Flight Control.
It also gets access to a powerful skill called LV1 V-Tail Stabilizer. This activates when you are falling mid-air while a certain distance away from the ground. While active, you fall much slower than usual, deal +25% damage, get +15 boosting speed, consume 30% less thrust, can fire your primary weapon while boosting, take 30% less stagger accumulation alongside resistance to instant staggers.
In conclusion, I feel like the Messer F01 is a little weak. It can do a lot of damage with its bombing runs or aerial melee combos, but the current meta 650 costers can all shoot it out of the sky very easily, which makes it hard to fly around sometimes. This wouldn't be such a problem if it was good on the ground, but sadly I think it is the weakest 650 cost general when it isn't flying, it only has one stun and is trivial to stunlock. Moreover, unlike the raid F02, it has no instant stagger resistance while jumping, only while falling. This makes it quite awkward to activate the V-Tail skill if enemies are looking at you. I think that it could get some buffs to make it more viable compared to the current 650 line-up. I would give it LV1 Damage Control, LV1 Fall Prevention System, +5 walk speed, +5 boost speed, 110 power vulcans with 8 second reload speed alongside the same rapid firing beam rifle sub weapon that the Messer F02 gets. Maybe the devs were just being cautious with this suit since it introduced a new mechanic, so I think it has a good chance of being buffed at some point. Thanks for watching and I hope that you enjoyed it!
