This video contains two matches I had with the recently buffed Methuss Kai on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 600-650 cost support with two instant staggers, high burst damage, solid stun accumulation and a powerful transformed mode with access to a heavy stagger. Its weaknesses would be poor mobility in MS mode, transformed handling not being that great along with needing to stop to charge the beam cannon. This suit has been pretty mediocre for a while but recently it got a new rapid fire cannon sub weapon added along with buffs for bazooka reload and swap time. This has fixed many of the issues that the suit originally had, with it now being capable of outputting absolutely insane burst damage under the right conditions. I am not the best support player but I was still able to get two nice games, so I hope that you enjoy watching!
The Methuss Kai can choose been paired bazookas or a beam rifle for its primary weapon. The bazookas have superior damage, are ballistic, faster cooldown and superior stun accumulation, but the beam rifle wins in terms of swap speed. The bazookas are better overall but the beam rifle offers new combo routes. The LV2 bazookas have 1365x2 power, 8 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 13 seconds rleoad, 1.77 seconds swap time, 355m range and 30%x2 stagger value. These have amazing stats among bazookas with very high power, fast cooldown and solid reload time. The swap speed is too low to combo from an MS mode cannon shot to bazookas, but by transforming you can instantly swap to the bazookas and bypass the wait time.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2310 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and standard modifiers. The suit lacks balancers and has only one swing, so you will rarely ever be using this.
Its first sub weapon is a high mega cannon with 2950 (4350) power, 80% (95%) heat, 5 seconds cooldown, 23 seconds overheat, 1 second swap time, 500m (650m) range, 4.5 seconds focus time and 40% (90%) heat. This is stop to fire and charge, but it instantly staggers and offers very high power. You can combo into uncharged shots from your primary, or use the charged shots when the situation is right to deal insane damage.
Its second sub weapon is a rapid fire cannon with 900x3 power, 30%x3 heat, 0.8 seconds cooldown, 23 seconds overheat, 1 second swap time, 500m range and 35%x3 stagger value. This offers both high accumulation and high damage, so it is quite versatile. Using this to start or end a combo offers amazing damage potential without even needing to transform.
It also has separate heat versions of both cannons while transformed. The normal cannon heavy staggers on charge but instantly overheats, while the rapid fire cannon has less heat at the cost of less power. Using these at the right time is key to success with Methuss Kai.
The LV2 Methuss Kai has 19000 HP, 22 ballistic resist, 32 beam resist and 16 melee resist. It has high default beam resist but melee resist and HP are a little low. It has a LV2 buffer for legs and shoulders at 600 cost, but this is upgraded to LV3 for 650 cost. It has a LV3 buffer for the back at both costs. It lacks a dodge roll while transformed unlike some recently buffed/released transforming supports, but it does have the benefit of LV2 Damage Control to guard against accumulated stagger.
It also has 130 (170) walk speed, 185 (230) boost speed, 70 thrust and 57 (45) turning speed. MS mode mobility is quite poor and has no Forced Injector skill. The transformed mode lets you move really fast but it has poor turning speed which can sometimes be annoying. The transformation can still be incredibly useful defensively and offensively if used correctly though.
Overall I think that the Methuss Kai has become a really strong support since the buffs. It has really insane damage output and stagger potential but this comes at the cost of being a little more sluggish than other 600 cost supports. Its basic two stun combos ending with the rapid fire cannon can absolutely melt through any general while also offering high accumulation against suits with Maneuver Armor. It can potentially do even more if you find the right time to use the charged cannon, which can hit for 7000 damage or more against the right generals. So I think that 600 cost has another strong option in the pile of great 600 supports. I can recommend it if you don't mind a sluggish support that offers very high firepower in return for that speed drop. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
