I LIVE! Happy new years and holidays to those who celebrate them. Before Norn drops Im gonna get this Vid out here, Moon Gundam!
Moon Gundam was the 3rd 700 MS to be added to the cost, Its kit was basic compared to Nu's and Sazabi's. You got a shield that absorbed all types of damage for a specific amount of HP, It recharged for 30 seconds. The plates did nuclear damage as they were ballistic based, The plates paired with psycho frame let you lock on fast enough to launch the plates as they were knocked down, and if you hit them from head to toe, you could do NUCLEAR damage to someone. The butterflies can stop anyone besides the Moon and Phenex shield, and can be controlled by moving your targeting reticle. It can even stop EZZ in bio as it counted as melee damage, so it phased through Nu/Hi-Nu's shield. You got really good Vulcans too. You entered Biosensor at 30% HP, which gave you increased attack and speed, along with reduced thrust usage.
You could play with the Varguil's BR or Moon BR. with the Varguil BR you got a beam shotgun with a grenade launcher, this let you be a menace on melee heavy maps and combat, but its not 100% consistent, If you somehow miss a few beam spray cause RNG said so your forced to swap to vulcans to finish off. The Moon rifle ignores this and lets you instant stun right out the gate, Mind you, you lose an easier MA break if you use the moon Rifle, this is why I use plates into Vulcans to MA break someone. Ive played both with the Varguil Rifle and Moon rifle, and constantly I have had an easier time with the moon rifle. Not having to charge it for an instant stun feels nice, and easier overall in the heat of the fight. with that said there are a few times I wish i had the Varguil rifle. Most will say play Varguil Rifle, which I agree. but to be honest play either. When this suit first dropped it was solid. It was a General that not only frontlined, but shredded Raids fast. this would all change when Unicorn and Banshee dropped...
Now when Unicorn dropped they actually buffed Moon at the same time, knowing fully well that the suit would be the most effected by NT-D. HP went from 20500 to 21500, Leg buffer level 1 to level 2, butterfly edge reload from 18-12 seconds, weapon change time shorted, reticle aim was made stronger too. Your plates locked on faster, and your shield overheat was shorted from 25 seconds to 20. Sadly NT-D was so effective that it canceled all 700 suits, It broke the cost... even Sinanju and Kshatriya struggled to fight Unicorn/Banshee, but the worst hit was Moon. Since most of the damage came from the plates, Having your plates turned off for a whole 30 seconds was agonizing. It didn't help that the NT-D range was a wide area of effect, and you had no protection from NT-D being hit on you constantly. Even when you went into Bio sensor you had no protection. so your plates would be turned off constantly, Negating your main source of damage. Moon went from a solid frontlining General to the worst in a few hours... While Unicorn would eventually be nerfed later down the line, to let 700 be in a healthier state, Moon would prove to struggle.
It would eventually be buffed again, This time Psycho Plate Resonance level 1 was given, its vulcan range went from 180m to 225m with the stun value increased, the plates stun value was enhanced, and your Bio triggered from 30% to 50%. You got melee prio 3 in Bio as well, letting you override the other generals at the cost and the only general having prio 3 at 700. The only suit that overrode you was Banshee in NT-D as it gets prio 4. You also become immune to the Psycho Jack that NT-D had when in this state. Making Moon be a contender yet again.
Overall, Moon Gundam doesn't feel horrible to play, it feels good. Is it the best? No, but Its not a throw compared to what it was before the buffs. I love this suit, I played it before Unicorn and I'm glad I can play it again. You can use either Varguil BR or Moon Rifle.
In the first fight I fought a FF Sazabi, which is known to nuke Generals overall, so the 5 deaths was hell... 3 came from the FF Sazabi and the other 2 came from the FF Nu. It was also an intense fight fighting a REv and YiG member. That was a well earned victory in my books, the second fight was less intense, but still good It was my main at 700 before unicorn, and with Norn literally around the corner I'm prob gonna play that.

Yeah, but I see why. You can't play the ranged game well compared to other costs. And some maps your plates struggle to do anything like on city ruins. You can just yeet your plates and be happy.
