This video contains two matches I had with the recently released Nu Gundam (HWS) on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost support with incredible ranged DPS, access to a piercing heavy stagger that ignores enemy defensive buffers, access to a fin funnel barrier with no time limit that ignores damage up to a certain threshold alongside good mobility. Its weaknesses would be that it has no instant stuns without charging, that it needs to work harder than other supports to stagger in general and that it suffers from long reload+overheat times for its weapons. This suit is a complete DPS machine, it can hide behind its powerful funnel barrier while outputting tons of damage. It isn't lacking weaknesses though, you have to juggle a lot with this kit to get anywhere. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is a hyper mega rifle with 600x5 (2800) ((3800)) power, 13%x5 (80%) ((95%)) heat, 0.8 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m (400m) ((575m)) range, 1.5 (3) seconds focus time and 16%x5 (20%) ((60%)) stagger value. This works similarly to the Nu Gundam's beam rifle when firing uncharged, offering longer range and a generous ASL reticle in return for having a high heat rate. It has a two stage charge function that offers a progressively stronger beam, both stages instant stagger.
Its primary weapon is a beam saber with 2900 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and 140% downswing modifier. This can hit generals pretty hard because of type advantage, but it can be awkward to use. Uses the Jeda melee moveset.
Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan gun with 120 power, 60 ammo, 450 RPM, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 900 DPS and 6% stagger value. This has decent stagger accumulation and DPS, useful to finish accumulation stun combos.
Its second sub weapon is a shoulder missile launcher with 200x2 power, 8 ammo, 255 RPM, 10 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 350m range, 1700 DPS, 300x6 incendiary damage and 6%x2 stagger value. These inflict a fast acting incendiary debuff that deals its full damage quickly.
Its third sub weapon is an irradiation type fin funnel with 800x6x4 power, 100% heat, 25 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 300m range and 17%x6x4 stagger value. These have good range and can be fired while boosting, shooting funnels in sequence that then fire continuous beams at the enemy.
Its fourth sub weapon is a fin funnel barrier with 5 ammo, 35 seconds reload and 0.77 seconds swap time. This works differently from other barrier weapons, rather than being HP/timer based it is hit based, the barrier is broken if it receives 5 attacks dealing 150 damage or more, or if you choose to manually reload it (which recalls the funnels).
Its fifth sub weapon is a shield missile launcher with 650x2 power, 4 ammo, 200 RPM, 12 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m range and 17%x2 stagger value. These have high damage but awful stagger value.
Its sixth sub weapon is a shield dual mega cannon with 3000x2 power, 100% heat, 30 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 400m range and 7 seconds focus time. This weapon bypasses buffers, pierces and heavy staggers, though this comes at the cost of very long focus and overheating time.
The Nu HWS has 20500 HP, 34 ballistic/beam resist and 20 melee resist. It has less HP than other supports but the barrier lets you block damage that other supports could not avoid, making you durable overall. It has LV2 Resist Move, LV3 Psycommu Buffer and LV1 Left Arm Special Equipment Defence Mechanism for defensive skills. LV2 Resist Move works like the standard version, except you take 50% less damage while rolling. The left arm defensive buffer reduces damage taken to the shield by 20%, reduces stagger value taken to the shield by 20% and blocks ranged instant staggers if they deal 1500 damage or less.
In terms of mobility it has 125 (135) walk speed, 215 (225) boosting speed, 75 thrust (-25% usage) and 72 (87) turning speed. It has LV2 Forced Injectors and LV2 Flight Control for mobility related skills. When the suits HP drops below 30%, Psychoframe Resonance activates, which boosts mobility as shown in the brackets.
Overall I feel like the Nu HWS will be a really strong option if you want a 700 support. It can't support the team with as many staggers compared to its peers, but the damage output is absolutely unmatched. If you play in mid-close range you can sustain a constant barrage and easily nuke enemy generals when given the chance, the barrier makes you really hard to approach as well. I think it is worth rolling for, just be aware though that recent leaks suggest that we will be getting Full Armor Unicorn Gundam, Xi Gundam and Penelope in the future, so it might be worth it to save for them instead. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
