This video contains two matches I had with the recently buffed Sazabi on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost general with great melee damage, good shooting damage, long melee reach, high mobility, great stagger accumulation and great durability. Its weaknesses would be its large size and it not having great shooting unless equipped with the long rifle. I have been waiting for a long time and more buffs are finally here for this suit. The buffs include +2000 HP; LV4 Forced Injector, LV2 Emergency Evasion, LV2 Damage Control 3.5 seconds tomahawk cooldown time, better shot rifle spread, less heat, less overheat time, less focus time and more stagger value for the long rifle, 6%x6 stagger value for the follow funnels and 0.77 seconds swap time for the belly beam. I hope that you enjoy watching!
The primary ranged weapon of the Sazabi is a long beam rifle with 2500 (3500) power, 70% (85%) heat, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 400m (600m) range, 3 seconds focus time and 20% (60%) stagger value. Uncharged shots instant stun with good heat, charged shots upgrade this with piercing and very high damage.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam tomahawk with 3100 power, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and 150% downswing modifier. You can sometimes initiate with this alone in close range with the reach or intentionally clash with enemies to abuse LV2 Power Accelerator, but it also serves as a powerful damage pumping tool after saber downswings. The cooldown buff means you can end combos that begin with a tomahawk downswing with a tomahawk neutral swing, as long as you are fast.
Its first sub weapon is a chest beam cannon with 1500x2x2 power, 95%x2 heat, 6 seconds cooldown, 30 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range and 45%x2x2 stagger value. This fires twice if you let it for high damage and 180% stagger accumulation, but you can swap to another weapon before it fires the second shot to get 3000 damage and 90% accumulation instead. This is a powerful technique that gives you easy MA break options regardless of primary weapon choice.
Its second sub weapon is two beam sabers with 2800 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and 70% combo modifier. These have good reach along with a great downswing animation which makes starting combos easy. The combo modifier means you can do high damage in two swings.
Its third sub weapon is 6 lock on funnels with 300x6x3 power, 55%x3 heat, 22 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 300m range and 3%x6x3 stagger value. These have low stagger value and they overheat after locking on, though they have high damage on paper.
Its fourth sub weapon is 6 follow funnels with 245x6 power, 35% heat, 0.8 seconds cooldown, 22 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m range and 6%x6 stagger value. These have decent stagger value and good damage. You can use them after stuns for more damage or after single belly beam shots for easy stagger accumulation.
Its fifth sub weapon is a shield missile launcher with 850 power, 3 ammo, 8 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 400m range and 35% stagger value. These can be used for extra damage off your ranged stuns or as an extra source of stagger accumulation.
The Sazabi has 23000 HP, 18 ballistic defence and 34 beam/melee resistance. It has high HP and good resistances apart from low ballistic resist. 25% leg buffers, a 15% back buffer and great slots for stacking bulk makes it very durable overall. It gets the combination of LV2 Emergency Evasion, LV1 Maneuver Armor and LV2 Damage Control for defensive skills.
It also has 135 (145) walk speed, 230 (240) boost speed, 80 thrust (25% thrust usage reduction) and 72 (97) turn speed. Before Psychoframe Resonance activates it is pretty mobile, but once it turns on at 30% HP the values in brackets come into effect to make it really fast. You are nearly dead once it turns on though. It also has LV4 Forced Injector to use barely any thrust when changing directions along with having LV2 Flight Control.
It also has LV2 Power Accelerator to turn clashes around from a disadvantaged situation into one where you can get in a free melee combo.
Overall I feel like the post-buff Sazabi is going to be a very powerful and versatile suit pick. It can seamlessly swap between frontlining or midlining if using the long rifle, or it can choose to specialize in frontlining if using the beam shot rifle. The only real issue it has is size and a lack of instant stuns if using the shot rifle, but apart from that it can clean house in just about any engagement when used correctly. Make sure to practice the belly beam swap technique like you see in this video if you plan on using it, the Sazabi is now available in the DP store starting from Captain rank. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
