This video contains two matches I had with the recently released Zeta Gundam 3A Type. It is a 650 cost general with excellent knockdown ability, two instant stagger, high stagger accumulation vulcans, good melee damage, decent midrange damage, a Biosensor stats buff at 30% HP and a heavy stagger usable while transformed. Its weaknesses would be having somewhat easy to break legs and a little less MS mode mobility than the other meta 650 cost frontliners. This suit feels really fun, it basically gets everything the original Zeta Gundam wants but with the addition of a HML gun sub weapon. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is a beam rifle with 2100 power, 6 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 400m range and 30% stagger value. This has pretty good stats all around and gives you an edge in close quarters due to the fast cooldown time. You can easily combo this into a beam spear downswing to confirm knockdowns.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2400 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 140% downswing modifier and 60% combo modifier. This has fast swap time and a long reaching downswing, making it pretty good for starting combos if the spear is on cooldown.
Its first sub weapon is an arm grenade launcher with 500x2 power, 4 ammo, 10 seconds reload, 0.3 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 300m range and 35%x2 stagger value. This is a pretty average arm grenade launcher, it can be hard to hit moving targets with it but is still useful for stagger accumulation or to do more damage in combos.
Its second sub weapon is a head vulcan with 100 power, 60 ammo, 600 RPM, 13 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 175m range, 1000 DPS and 6% stagger value. This has good DPS and can stagger in just 1.7 seconds, making it useful for breaking through Maneuver Armor.
Its third sub weapon is an HML gun with 3000 (500x11) power, 90% (95%) heat, 6 seconds cooldown, 25 seconds overheat, 1 second swap time, 500m (550m) range, 4 seconds focus time and 40% (50%x11) stagger value. Uncharged shots stop to fire but instant stagger. It can charge while moving to fire an 11 tick long instant staggering beam, but it is impractical because of how long you stop in place while firing.
Its fourth sub weapon is a long beam saber with 2600 power, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and 90%x2 downswing modifier. The downswing on this spear has less reach than the Zeta Gundam, but still has long reach alongside being very fast. It is easy to confirm knockdowns with this.
While transformed it has access to a beam gun with 300x2 power, 15% heat, 200 RPM, 12 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 350m range, 2000 DPS and 17%x2 stagger value. This has high DPS and can stagger very quickly, making it useful for midair dogfights or for midair shooting combos.
Also while transformed it has access to an alternate version of the HML gun with 3500 power, 100% heat, 30 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 550m range and 1.5 seconds focus time. This can be fired while boosting for a splash heavy stagger. You can easily combo this into MS mode melee.
The LV1 Zeta A3 has 130 (200) walk speed, 220 (240) boost speed, 80 thrust and 69 turning speed. It has pretty good mobility for this cost, made better by having LV2 Forced Injector and LV3 Flight Control. It also gets LV1 Transformed Optimizer which reduces thrust usage while transformed.
It also has 21000 HP, 21 ballistic/beam resist and 29 melee resist. Considering how small it is, it actually has pretty good durability. It has LV1 Emergency Evasion and LV1 Maneuver Armor for defensive skills
It has access to a special skill called LV1 Biosensor once it drops to 30% HP. This boosts walking/boosting speed by +5, +15 to every resistance, +5 ranged modifier, +30 melee modifier, -20% thrust consumption, +15 turning speed and also adds LV2 Emergency Evasion. While the Biosensor is active it also gets an upgraded ram attack, with it being boosted from 2000 to 4000 power if you boost for about a second. It also takes -50% damage while using this special ramming skill.
It also has a new skill called LV2 Aerial Melee. This allows you to use the single saber downswing in mid-air. Furthermore, this swing gets 30% boosted damage.
Overall I feel like the Zeta 3A will be a strong frontliner, maybe even the best 650 frontliner if you get good at knocking enemies over with the spear. It makes me feel sad though, the original Zeta isn't doing that great but here they are releasing what it basically a straight upgrade to the original, the LV2 Zeta is more pointless than it has ever been. Regardless, I think that you will love this suit if you like the Zeta Zaku or Zeta Gundam. It is a very fun suit that isn't broken, but still strong. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
