GCC Router/Firewall Speed Testing

There have been some questions about the speed throughput on the GCC6010 (Grandstream Converged Communications) device. Well -- let's turn on and off all the options and do some speed tests! When a creator (me or anyone else you watch) do a speed test with a single device behind the router/firewall it may not be an accurate test of how the device will perform under load. I'm working on that though! Stay tuned!

Hi Willie, thanks for the videos. I'm looking at upgrading from a GWN7003 to the GCC6010 as it seems more capable of handling a Gigabit WAN connection with DPI enabled. When I enable DPI (traffic monitoring) on the 7003, the throughput drops considerably (1000Mbps down to 200Mbps). Are you able to confirm this on the 6010? I believe this means disabling Hardware Acceleration (A bit counter intuitive) and enabling Traffic Management. Disabling HW Accel is required otherwise DPI is bypassed probably using 'Cut Through Forwarding'. Then confirming you are seeing traffic being identified- might take 10 mins - then speed test :)

Great video, definately an exiciting product, kinda makes Cloud hosted PBX not even worth it at this price point. (Definately a bonus) Are you planing to do a speed test with 2.5Gbs WAN/LAN through it?

Thanks great video, I wanted to ask you I recently bought two Grandstream gwn7003. But so I will never have the same firewall features now present in the gcc series?

@@franksambiase I'm not sure about that. But for now there is not feature parity.

Nice video. But try to contact GrandStream here in Brazil and they dont even reply me.. I think in these as a replacement for SonicWall Gen5 and Gen6 on legacy clients... Lets see if one day it arrives here.
