Get viewers from the respective countries - volunteers, of course - , form another team and see which team is faster: GCN International or GCN Viewers International.
Appreciate the kudos GCN, thank you! Nice to see the climb with some high end cameras too❤One day it’ll be beaten, but I’ll have had my 15min of fame!😇
That just shows the effort and work you put in to get that KOM. The fact that a team of 8 people cannot relay faster. Mind you i hope they flagged their own ride.
How disillusioned must all the other riders on Sa Calobra feel that day with you guys passing them at 30kmph on the uphill!!! Love the international group, more please.
I think most of them saw them waiting on the side of the rode waiting when they passed the presenters first and after their efforts they probably got passed the second time by some of the more fit riders.
Just goes to show what a cracking ride Ed Laverack did in setting the KOM. He's a former UK National Hill Climb Champion, and with a relatively long parcours for the 2023 Nationals (The Struggle in the Lake District), surely a favourite to challenge Andrew Feather next year...
Brilliant international effort! More collaborative videos please - also on the other GCN channels. (And more female presenters, please, to keep the wonderful Manon company...)
Who is coming up with the content ideas at GCN of late!!…?? You guys are absolutely nailing it! From the Hankathons, to Si's bike demolitions lol. So so brilliant ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏 Thank you
I so can't believe you guys did not make it. It seems beyond belief that one rider can climb that moutain in one go faster then a relay team. Conratulations for the efort. I know I certainly would'n go so hard so that I could taste blood in my mouth. I also wonder if some people will start cheating on Strava KOM's by ridingin relays...
I spent a couple of weeks there when I was in the Marines. I looked at the terrain and wished so badly that I had my bike with me. And here you are just rubbing it in.
Now you have a new time to beat courtesy of Tommy P. That little assassin showed up in my home town (Los Angeles) for a couple days in October. Of course smashed a KOM at a legendary climb because, well, why not plant a British flag of domination in the colonies before sailing home?
Not intended as a dig at Si Richardson's effort - more a testament to the explosion of Strava - but his 11th place in 2016 seems to have become 183rd in 2022...
Good, that the wahoo worked. Mine lost gps on that climb and had me all over the place 🤣 Well, I am slow anyways🐢 really beautiful climb, great effort and video GCN🔥
can't help feeling the international side of gcn is underutilised. i watch french/spanish gcn, maybe a bit of italian if i'm feeling confident. some nice stuff on gcn+ - maybe subtitle some of the stuff on the other channels as i think we're missing out a bit.
Colorado, Pikes Peak or Mt. Evans etc. Or New York has the Catskills with a ton of short spiky KOMs like Meads Mountain Road right outside the village of Woodstock. Or the Adirondack Mountains further north for the White Face Mountain ride.
That was fun. I'll bet you could set up a little basket attached to the saddles so the exchange just involves the oncoming rider. Opportunity for a 3D printing hack with carbon netting.
Great video and concept, as ever, though the music was a little intrusive on this one. Seemed to be throwing every piece of stock electronica in the book at the background of each section. Not hearing any live sound from the attempt made it feel a bit distant alongside the commentary.
Ollie and Alex were fannying about on the wrong side of the road in shorts doling out winter cycling advice earlier.... Meanwhile it's -10c here in the Cairngorms.... They're there I'm sure they'll be having a serious bash at it this week if not already....
They had no plan for the handoffs... I'm surprised they didn't accidently hit a button and stop the recording. Next time, maybe use a Velcro patch on each jersey and on the back of the Wahoo.
Thanks! You should check out our 'End to end' documentary where we try and break the Lands end to John O'Groats record as a relay! Watch it on GCN+ 👉 gcn.eu/lejogr
@@gcn already have 😉 Not my stile of video. I like the ones like this one, Si on TT vs how meny other riders, the Track videos, beginners vs and the hack and bodge section (wish it whas a little more hacks and bodges) and even bikewalt, it's fun to see other bikes, gives me ideas. I'm going too submit mine, but it's not ready yet. I have a CAAD12 with "custome" parts. Would like to get a supernice on it 🤣🤙
So let me see if I understand this..... How many ex-pros basically "cheating" couldn't beat Ed? Hmmmm.... Still great efforts by all. And Ed, long live King Edward!👍
