Transfer Service is having two favors Transfer Service | Cloud which refers to own Transfer Service in the video Transfer Service | On-Premise which is a new service using Containers which helps to transfer data from on-prem without Transfer Appliance
Hi Mahesh, First of all Thank you very much for uploading these awesome video... Really appreciate the way you explain the concepts.. One quick question as GCP introduced these new On-premise Transfer service. would the questions answer remains the same in that case?
Thank you Mahesh .. very informative videos .. .. Love to see more updates as GCP introduces new services and updates existing ones for example : Transfer service is now available for Cloud and also on-premise
Thank you Mahesh. Good one. Could you please make one video on How to transfer the data from on-premises(local windows/linux system) to cloud storage using on-premises transfer service ?
Hi Mahesh Sir, We have got stuck in one scenario... if you can please advise it will really help! We have a FACT1 table from project1 located in US-Region & FACT2 table from project2 located in Asia Region. We want to do a union/join between 2 tables and persist into table in Project2. But GCP is not allowing to querying tables in 2 different regions. 1. What is the ideal approach recommended for the same? 2. If we wanted to read data from FACT1 (US) and replicate as a persistent table in project2 (FACT1_COPY) how can we setup a sync service in GCP? 3. How will the sync process work - whether only new records will be synced or it will always transfer entire table as truncate load? Any cost implications? We have around 30 GB data and daily new data is getting appended in FACT1 Kindly advise on what should be correct architecture.
Hi Sreenu, it depends what certification in GCP you are planning to pursue. For e.g., 1. GCP Professional Data Engineer Certification - Having Python programming is very helpful 2. GCP Professional Cloud Developer Certification - Having very good Software programming is very very important 3. GCP Professional Cloud Architect Certification - Having basic SDLC detail is good enough
Do we need any service account if we want to use transfer service for transferring from one GCS Bucket to another GCS bucket and these two are in different organizations. Pls answer
Hello Mahesh. I have a question about GSUtil Transfers to GCP. Lets say if we have a large file that we are using parallel composite uploads. If the connectivity is lost in the middle of the transfer, does it resume when we come back online or we start a fresh.
@@LearnGoogleCloudwithMahesh Thank you Mahesh for the quick reply. May god bless you to be immortal so that you can teach the future generation. Because it is rare to find deep dive classes like yours for free.
From On-Prem to GCP - Use Gustil if on-prem bandwidth is good - Use Transfer Appliance if data needs to transferred is around 150 to 450 TB - Give a try with new On-Prem Transfer Service (Beta) From Another Cloud (for e.g.,AWS/ Azure) to GCP - Use Transfer Service (AWS S3) to GCP - Use Gsutil (install Gsutil in AWS E2 or Azure VM) to GCP
@@LearnGoogleCloudwithMaheshThank you Sir I will check but I don't know an thos :) :) but will try my best and if could advice any book on cloud migration that will be helpful
