In this video, we explore what is meant by the surface area to volume ratio of an organism. We then look at how to calculate the surface area to volume ratio. We then explore how gills are used by fish to increase the absorption of oxygen into the bloodstream.

Alslalsl Asd this is jus my experience but i’ve watched all his videos, made notes on specific topics i didn’t understand. re watched those videos. then when i understood everything i did plentiful practise questions and past papers. science is kinda iffy because you can understand the content 100% well but the questions aren’t all going to test your content knowledge. you have to apply it and understand the mark scheme too :) that’s just what I did, hopefully it works for you too !

Yes. My hand has a large surface area in comparison to an amoeba, but has a relatively small surface area : volume ratio in comparison.

Ted Trollingston deoxygenated blood is when the oxygen has been used up around the body which then comes back round to collect another lot of oxygen; a double pump
