Loads of great ideas and vocabulary. Just one point - Inhalation is not the word you meant - it is annihilation! Inhalation is breathing in as to inhale. Think of the Daleks - they wanted to annihilate.

Omg thank you so much!! I was really struggling to get such a high grade as English is not my first language... But I finally got A*s in my descriptive and narrative writing! My work was taken as a sample of my year group, and the examiner told the school that my work was really really good and he was very impressed! So thank you so much for your help! x

It was mainly due to writing perfect essay plans, practising answers and memorising key analysis that goes with the quotes. Good luck

I like the way you decided to use a topic almost everyone would pick, but write a piece almost no one would. I'm sure the stereotypical story plot would be someone doing something wrong and learning a lesson through the experience, but then your story took a huge twist on the word and was nothing like the cliché plot. I'll remember to do same in my paper today ☺️💪🏾

Hi English Teacher! Firstly, thank you for these incredible videos :) Secondly, I'm having my year 10 English Language exam tomorrow, and I was wondering, regarding a topic such as "Describe an important decision that you have made and explain what happened as a result" - would including creativity be advised or not? I understand that answering these questions should resemble a magazine article, or a newspaper piece but my writing is usually a bit different, would that affect my grade?
@TheEnglishTeachertuitionkit
@TheEnglishTeachertuitionkit 9 лет назад
alltimelojain It is something you want to do. think about the list of A* skills- they are the same for both tasks. this means that you want to use imagery, great vocabulary and flair. So yes, try to write in an imaginative way that will engage your reader.
@Aliieist
@Aliieist 9 лет назад
The English Teacher Thank you so much for answering so quickly. I was worried that I had posted my comment a bit too late. Again, thank you. I'll make sure to show off all the writing skills I possess once I take my exam. Keep doing what you do, it's tremendously appreciated!

Excellent video for creative writing !!!! I have these two questions: Does creative writing tell a story? The second ,what is the difference between creative and descriptive writings?
@TheEnglishTeachertuitionkit
@TheEnglishTeachertuitionkit 9 лет назад
Hamayon Faisal Creative writing does indeed tell a story. Descriptive writing focusses more on exploring a scene, whereas creative writing can also just be a story
