Your videos are INCREDIBLE! Thank you so much for making them. I'm in an HVAC program in Arizona (I don't even know what GCSE is!), and these have been the best videos I've found online to explain many electric, heat, and energy concepts. I wish my whole curriculum was here! The color coding, the thought behind each video, the organization -- your hard work is apparent, and its result is easier transfer of knowledge. Wow. I'm telling my classmates to use your videos!

But it says the resistance increases when I add more components not loops . If you increase the number of components on the same loop surely the resistance of the circuit must increase.

for a series circuit how is the current the same at every point where resistance reduces current and different components have different resistance?

I have a question. If there's 9V from the cell and 1st branch has 2 bulbs 2nd branch has one buzzer, Will each branch still get equally 9V? If yes, it means that no matter what, each branch has equal voltage?

first branch will work as a series circuit then and both the lights will share the voltage

Question: total resistance of parallel is 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3... and so on, so mathematically, why does the total, i.e. the sum, decrease the more resistors there are?
@Maximus5641
@Maximus5641 9 месяцев назад
The resistances are added as reciprocals, its like rather than adding them normally, they are flipped over as fractions and added and even though the result is bigger than the fractions, its is flipped again making it smaller than the original numbers eg if r1=2, r2=3 1/rt = 1/2+1/3 1/rt = 5/6 rt = 6/5 or 1.67 It reduces because it is flipped and then added and flipped back, hope this helped

You will probably not reply in time if u dont its fine but say in the parallel circuit powered by a 3 volt battery and you have two leds wired one has a higher resistance then the other one will both leds still receive 3 volts
