Perfect. Thanks. We've owned several GE microwaves. All the handles have broken. For GE, replacement handles must be like an annuity ($40@ - best price I could find). They couldn't cost more than a few dollars each to produce.

Thank you!!!! I was struggling on how to get to the second set of screws that are blocked by the metal frame. I have the same microwave oven. Although harder than your copy I was able to pop open the front bezel enough to allow a screw driver in there to get to the second set of screws. I wasn't able to remove the entire front bezel.Once I was able to access the second set of screws it was easy peasy. Thanks for that second half of the video. A life saver!

Oh, one more thing, a putty knife (or two) is key. Otherwise you will ruin the plastic if not break it altogether. PLEASE USE A PUTTY KNIFE!

This was a nice simple design, which makes the process straight forward. Mine has brackets that the handle attaches to, which makes it much more complicated, and prone to trouble. Sucks for me.

I had to repair mine but was able to do it at no cost and used the same handle it looks and works like new

Thank You was helpful. I actually have a Kenmore. The trim, actually wont let the door shut completely? Leaves Microwave light and fan running. So I took it off?

Did you replace the trim? It may not be the right trim for your model.

I did this now the microwave door light on the touch panel blinks like the door is not sealed but everything is back. Touch panel won't respond correctly and microwave won't start. Light, clock and timer work fine.

I removed the 2 screws and there are seems to be other screws I can't access from just removing the strip. How do I access the second set of screws?

L Gould Some microwave models require that you take the door apart to get to the handle screws. We do not have a how-to video for this door style; you may find such a video from another channel on RU-vid, though. If you're unable to find a how-to video, we suggest that you remove the door entirely to prevent losing parts and contact the manufacturer for recommendations.
