Bruno Mars drummer Eric 'E-Panda' Hernandez walks Elmo Lovano through his new set up at rehearsals for the 24k Magic World Tour, as well as his kit for their Prince tribute at the Grammy's.
Gear Goggles is an inside look as top musicians walk us through their stage set up and discuss their production, gear and upcoming tour fun.
The GRAMMYs are having a giveaway competition for a replica of Eric's Prince tribute kit and are launching it today. The contest starts tomorrow and runs through April 19. The contest page is here:

He's one of my favorite drummers.. seems like a such a down to earth humble guy.. rare to see now n days.. on the biggest gig and so humble.. E-Panda is the man!! Much love thanks jammcard for this one!!

I was never a big fan of DW’s kits. But, Eric’s kit and Thomas Lang’s kits are the only ones, that I’ve came to like so far. But, they make some incredible snares.

With all the respect for this guy. I know drummers with a bigger reputation and more skills. It shows that the 'drum qualities' not always play such a big role to play with these artists like Bruno Mars, but as a musician you have to be in the right place at the right time, and know the right people who can give you this job, and the grant factor plays a big role in this.

I agree with you on that. But maybe there's something in that "blood connection" (i.e., Switchfoot, The Corrs, old Paramore) that connects them musically, even though there's tons of drummers who are waaaay better than Eric.
