Epic Epic Skatepark Bash Brotha! You landed everything flawlessly!!! Killed it out there my dude!! M2C is making the Sledge a complete BEAST!!!! Awesomeness bro!! ⚡🤩🧨💯💯💯 Gears can be fixed with ease and your good to shred again!
Thanks so much Brother Rocky 😜!!! M2C has made her into a Tank 😱. Digging the lighter BQ towers too. Hopefully the rear diff cover and top brace was a one time event. Regardless, the Sledge has been very impressive 👀. Truly appreciate it Brother!!! 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
So nice! After watching this I rushed out with my bigrock and had a wicked session at a skate park. Right as the LV cut off happened, the spur connector split... Was super fun though! Rock on!
Thanks so much David 😜!!! This park truly is a Blast 😍. So many potential lines. The Sledge did great out there. That sloppy late triple busted her 😱😂. She took a pretty good hammering. Really appreciate it Brother!!! 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
What an awesome spot! I wish we had parks like that here. So entertaining to watch your skills! Wanna sell those Sledgehammers? I'd like to try a set. 🙂
Dude you're a freaking BEAST!! I wish I had that kind of precision, you make your rigs move seamless from takeoff to landing it looks effortless like it's what the car wanted to do by itself. Very impressive Bro!
Thanks Brother Aaron 😜!!! The Sledge did great out there overall. Hopefully the diff cover was a fluke. Might've been that rough triple that smashed it. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Your skills are unparalleled! I don’t think many realize just how precise you are, not just landings and jumps, but depth perception and accuracy while zipping round that sick skate park. Always a pleasure to watch your content!
@@Corhndog Stephen z, definitely has the jumps And the air control locked down like Fort Knox. However he provides a different kind of value as a content creator on RU-vid then rich. Rich has him in a lot of other avenues
@@Corhndog Stephane is incredible at doing technical varials/ ramp tricks..etc..on his backyard ramp bash set-up. I prefer speed bashing in wide open spaces and natural terrain overall 😍. You'd probably know that unless you're a casual who chimes in randomly to compare guys out having fun 🍻.
@@EastTactics thanks so very much Brother 🤗. My close up vision went to crap a few years ago, but fortunately I can gauge space and things at long distance pretty well 👍. I use my ears as much as my eyes when it comes to sorting speed, wheelspin, and traction. Truly appreciate it Brother. 😎💪👊👊
SMOOOOOOOOTH Rich, these insane transitions and loopings look so butter smooth, the amount of control is NUTS. The tires make a huge difference I found out, rotations are so much more predicable with less ballooning tires and a responsive ECS 👍 Definitely all must have upgrades on that rig. M2C did an amazing job with the chassis design and motor mount 😍
Thanks so much Kimberly 😍. Your towers are such a perfect fit 👌🥰🥰. The body slips right on like new again. Maybe better than new and didn't want to pop off even once. The Max6 and M2C upgrades were game changers for performance and overall durability 💪. Bummed I couldn't punch the throttle after my gears started slipping, but grateful to get a full run in as always. Truly appreciate your kind words 😘😘😎💪👊👊
Hello your Highness.lol Sorry it's been so long hope your doing great. It looks like your CF parts are doing well. Rich is a great champion of both you and your parts. I've been out of commission for the last 6months the last month I was in hospital. Crappy thing was because I had to go in by ambulance. Had my phone but of course never had my charger so I couldn't watch you Rich or Kev. You don't know how good it feels to get outta there.
Thanks so much Brother Avery 😜. Your parts have made the Sledge a virtual Tank 🚀🚀. Truly confidence inspiring knowing the 7075 T6 foundation can take it all day. Really appreciate it. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊
Favourite skate Park Bash for sure!! I would love to hit that park it looks epic!! Getting out there this afternoon for a skate Park Bash so now I'm totally pumped. Cheers Rich 👍
Wow Rich that was a perfect bash at the skate park! A pure delight to watch, this upgraded Sledge becomes a tank! Still a few weak points that will soon be improved by M2C haha! Can't wait to see the next bash session once the killer is back on its wheels, Tchouss my bash brother, peace
Solid session Rich, Your flow in that skatepark is poetry in motion. Super smooth and really nice to watch. Could watch this all day!! Kinda thinking this should be a legitimate sport!!
Thanks so much Steve 🤗. This park has so many potential lines 👀. Bummer my run ended a bit early, but glad I could get out and put another test on the parts. Appreciate the kind words Brother!!! 😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother 🤗. Yeah it sucks I busted the rear diff case cover and jacked the ring gear, but the truck did great overall 👍. She felt smooth out there for sure 🍻😎💪👊👊
Wicked Bro Rich! Your skatepark bash is always a treat to watch Bro. She damn smooth AF out there. Those over the floaters are just awesome to watch 😍. The concrete landing looks brutal but great test on the M2C chassis 😜💪😂. Bummer on the striped gears . Another awesome upload brother
Thanks so much Brother Chris 😜!!!! The Sledge felt pretty smooth out there until the gears went crunchy anyways 😱🤣🤣. Hopefully Vitavon and HR will make those diff covers soon 😍. So vital for keeping the outdrives and gears locked in position. The truck is turning a little slower with the full size Backflips, but felt dialed otherwise 👍. Chassis and other hop ups did awesome!!! Hopefully get a longer run next time. Truly appreciate it Brother. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
The skate park King did it again👍awesome run bro sorry about your damages I’m sure you’ll have it up and running in no time it just amazes me how you just flow through that part with ease I’m personally not much of a skate park guy but I always love watching you rip it up M2c Hop-ups are holding strong💪that concrete Landing would’ve eat up a stock chassis for sure thanks for the shout out again brother awesome🥰🤩🤠👊👊
Thanks so much Brother Aldo 😜. Had a Blast out there. Just a bummer about the gears slipping midway through 🤣. The sound is so harsh to my ears and I could feel the loss of power. Kinda let the wind out of my sails. The M2C and Basherqueen bits did absolutely perfect 😍. Hopefully the breakages won't be a repeat kinda deal. I am digging her no question. Truly appreciate it Brother 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊
Man Rich, you always make me want to go out and run one of my RCs. The sledge really does look like a great rig, I just think you, along with a few others are a a level that you really test the limits of parts. I feel like I beat on my rigs jumping 15-20 feet in the air, then I see you, RC dude, Bars, and Commander launching them like 120ft. Good Stuff man!!!
Thanks so much Jon 🤗. The Sledge is a solid rig for harder bashing when properly upgraded 💪. I'm stoked we have a wide mix of parts testers across the country hitting different spots 😍. Everyone plays a role ensuring they're ready for production or need further tweaking. Really appreciate it Brother. 😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Pete 🤗. I would've hit more lines, but I hate running once gears are slipping 😂. The sound is awful and the loss of rear power was pretty noticable. I'll get out there again. 😎💪👊👊
That was wild! This should be a judged contest like FMX in the X-games. I ride my KTM electric dirtbike in the skate parks I've yet to try my buggy. This session definitely makes me want to go try it ASAP.
Thanks Brother 🤗. Electric MX bikes are Killin it at the parks now 😱. Josh Hills last park upload was so friggin sick 👀. Dude has incredible skills, vision, and balls of steel. 😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother 😜. Yes indeed. I skated vert for years and love the bikes too. Still skate on occasion and ride, just not pulling huge airs or trashing my body anymore 😂. My first really hard slam after 40 was a wake up call 🤣😎💪👊👊
I've said it Once and I'll say it it Again, All Hail the skate park KING 👑!! Your control and transitions are flawless Bro!! The flip over the gap in the pipe was 🔥🔥🔥 the Sludge seems a little heavy compared to your Outcast. I know it's a heavy rig out of the box. M2C definitely is making it a solid rig to the Kraton. Always Dig your Skate Park sessions!! Stay safe and bash on from Colorado!!!
Thanks so much Ervin 😜. You're too kind Brother 🤗. The Sledge is definitely no lightweight. The Maxx is probably the better pick for the concrete, but the Sledge gets it done and does awesome with the right upgrades 🚀🚀. The Outcast, BRCC, Granite 3s, and MT41O are perfect skatepark rigs too 😍. Really appreciate the kind words my friend. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Nice bash Rich, as usual! 😍. I have a Talion V3, that i love and bash. Most of it has been tuned with M2C parts (chassis, both chassis braces, the motor mount, and the standoffs) and those parts held up absolutely perfect, to everything i did to it. Then, i said i had to try some Bashing Queen parts, and bought both shock towers, the Ackerman plate, and the front plate (above the steering). After my first bash, both the front tower and the plate broke.. The front chassis brace just sheered through the plate, smashing the fibers. I don't want to "bash" her products, but it seems that the carbon fiber is not at all resistent to big shocks (and not so good landings). I decided to make the front tower from 7075, and did just that(i have a friend with a cnc). I have to say, the original towers bend, but not alot, and were repaired quite a few times :)). So, at least for me, it's M2C all the way, or custom made parts, but i'll have to pass on the carbon fiber for high stress parts. Keep on bashing, bro! 💪
Thanks so much Nico 🤗. I LOVE my upgraded Talion V3 too 😍. While great for rigidity and weight savings, CF does run the risk for fracture/breakage. I haven't busted any of her parts, but know it's possible. The Sledge towers are better protected I think with the tower covers and reinforced body. My Talion is definitely sporting M2C 7075 💪. Hopefully the beefier version CF top plates are holding better. 🍻😎💪👊👊
That's a awesome skate park bash brother. You are the master . Traxxas should make just a chassis of the sledge with all the goodies you've got in yours. I still haven't got one yet hopefully they'll make a v2 version of it in the future 😅
Always love watching the skate park videos. It's so mesmerizing watching the smooth lines. That's super innovative of Kimberly to make such an awesome option to adopt the clip system onto an arrma. I have not seen any( off the top of my head) videos with the sledge body coming off like on the xmaxx.do you find the bigger tires like the bigger backflips you ran are easier on the rig at the skate park? Thanks for another super awesome skate park bash video man 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Thanks so very much Nick 😜. This park has so many awesome lines 😍. Kimberly's clipless body kit is fairly genius. The Sledge body is super easy to work with and very durable with the framing and roof and hood rails. The bigger tires are easier for flips and provide more cushion, but the extra mass also causes more breakages if you wreck or land badly. I like the smaller Backflip LP's the best, just decided to run the full size ones for testing because they're the same weight as the Sledgehammers. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Sweet bash. You didn't go with the machined diffs? I broke a tooth my second pack running grass doing doughnuts. Replaced with machined gears and good to go now.
Thanks Mike 🤗. I'll go with Vitavon hardened gears if I have to. Definitely not buying Traxxas "upgraded" gears. The problem was my diff cover imploding letting the ring gear shift and bind up. I'll probably upgrade that once Hot Racing or Vitavon offers them. Appreciate you mentioning the upgraded gear option though 🍻😎💪👊👊
Yeah this was a brilliant idea by Kimberly 😍. The Sledge body is way more durable with it's internal cage plus hood and roof rails. I'll be honest, it's super convenient to take off and slide right back on 👀. You could paint your own clear body or sticker up a painted Sledge one. Her tower kit is verified to fit the K6s EXB🍻
6.35 Got D brother Rich 😮, that was butter smoooooth the transfer 😮😮😮. like how it perform in your hands❤❤❤. 6.35 was the end of that diff and case 😂. Not many diffs or even any would take that fullthrottle landing after last 100ed of a second flip 😂 before landing
Thanks so much dear Brother Thomas 😍. Had a super fun session out there. Park was almost empty 👀. Yeah that late triple was a bad idea 😱😂. Definitely flexed the crap out of her trying to make that rotation. Really appreciate it Brother 🍻😎💪👊👊
Thanks so much Brother 😜. Been wanting to do that for awhile. Kevin T asked if I could grind the pole completely around the loop, but not sure that'll work 😱😎💪👊👊
not a traxxas fan but i think if you pay 800 for the rig you shouldnt have to upgrade str8 out the box i like to keep my rigs light and durable as possible good video rich!!
@@robertshaw5326 I agree 100% Bro. Guys will have to decide if paying 1000$ plus for a solid 1/8 basher is worth it. Traxxas exaggerated just a bit with their advertising in my opinion. They slammed the Kraton 6s with their comparison. I'll stay grounded in reality and make my own judgements 🍻😎💪👊👊
Weird I went to your site to say hi and it said I wasn't a subscriber even though I have been for at least a couple of years. I have been laid up for the last 6mos and just spent the last month in the hospital so I haven't been on for a while but still shouldn't have unsubscribed me. Anyways just wanted to let you know I'm still a fan and re-subscribed again.lol I need my fill of your bashing. Your work in the skatepark is a thing of beauty. This sledge is a real contender.
Thanks so very much Sheila 🤗. Yeah RU-vid is kinda glitchy. I've missed tons of notifications and had to resub on several channels through the years. Truly appreciate the kind words and sincerely hope you're doing ok healthwise 🙏. Life throws all kinds of curve balls at us. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 Amen Rich thanks. Yes I seem to be doing a little better now. That Sledge looks pretty tasty right outta the box. Love the upgrades you did as well. Is the Queen's stuff as good as it looks I've been a big fan of hers the last few years. From Kev's channel. Her driving is great and her carbon fiber looks pretty sweet.
Thanks so much Jacob 🤗. It's funny cuz I didn't know the mounts went to the website until they sold out 👀. Mitch told me the first batch got completely gobbled up within no time. They're making more as we speak. The fact that I haven't imploded a stock pot metal spur yet speaks volumes about how well the mount does it's job 💪. I'll try and find out when the next batch will be done. 😎💪👊👊
Awesome rich your the skate park king man. Off topic here what shock spring would u recommend for my kraton XL m2c build? Need to be more stiff because of the extra weight with all the m2c parts and aluminum bulk heads. Thanks 👍
Thanks Brother 🤗. Appreciate the kind words. I've stuck with stock Kraton/Outcast V3-V5 springs for my Orange Darling Kraton XL build along with M2C ZRS bladderless setup. I just dialed down my collars a bit to adjust the preload for an arms level ride when fully loaded. The newer spec ARRMA springs are rated higher than Tekno and most other truggy springs. Commanderastig RC is running a stiffer or longer spring I believe, just can't recall which brand. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 thanks rich yes I know him il definitely look into it. Yes of course brother np. I love the kraton XL what a awesome car. 👌 how is your Orange darling holding up?
@@richduperbash2966 nice Rich yes sir mine too. I love it. Chassis hit the ground hard from about 35 feet but she survives every time and no bends at that height so I'm happy. Il send u a link check it out when u have time
Great run Rich! The Sledge looks pretty sweet, I have a question for you, I just got my first 6s rig it's the outcast, and both diffs need to be rebuilt. I was wondering what weight oil you run in the front and rear as well as the center.
Thanks Sean 🤗. I'm running 50/200/20k front/center/rear in my Outcast, Talion, and Typhon 6s. This has been a good overall balance for me anyways. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 How would you say the handling is on the EXB limited slip diffs vs the RTR open diffs? As I understand it the LSDs can make use of lighter diff fluid because of the locking effect? Can too light/too thick of fluid break gears? I'm curious as to your thoughts on any of this, I've got a K6 EXB with Max 6 combo I'm finally about to turn on but I want to get the diffs right first, I don't want to 'diff out' or whatever it's called and possibly break something with this beast motor lol
@@FreakMeat74 the handling with RTR vs EXB LSD diffs is definitely different. I never saw any need for LSD in the rear and am indifferent to having it vs open in the front or center. My EXB in now all open diffs. It's true you don't need (or want) heavier diff fluids with LSD. It's simply too much. In the center, you wheelie too easily on harder throttle. Too heavy front or rear impedes easy steering and quick direction changes. I'd recommend 50/200/20k front to rear with EXB LSD diffs. I run 50/500/20k with open diffs and bigger power. On that note, the EXB ARRMA shim kit has worked excellent for me thus far. It replaces all the LSD plates with a 2 thick washer shims per diff. 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 Really appreciate your input Rich, thank you kindly. I'm very glad to hear the EXB LSDs are happy being turned open, you get your cake with the tuning options and 'get to eat' the beefy slanted gears too :) PSA: JBRC has 6mm 7075-T651 shock towers for the Senton on sale for $64 a pair shipped. They'll probably stay on 'sale' because they are likely the last stock selling out. Seems to be a good price for the quality for anyone who wants to build a Senton from a Typhon, or for use with the body mounts on a build without trimming etc. I'd love to see you ripping a 6s Senton, the 3s is cool and all but something about aluminum chassis SC trucks are very sexy imo. I'm straight up copying RCDude81's Rally car build that's what I bought my pair for hehe :P Thanks again Rich, hope you or someone you know finds use for them. :)
That was an epic run, question on the tires? Do you like the lp backflips over the mt backflips on the sledge? I want to get a set of wheels for my rig just not sure which wheels I should grab. Thank you
Thanks Tim 🤗. I LOVE both the LP's and regular full-size Backflips 😍. I wouldn't recommend the LP's unless you're able to gear up 2 teeth to keep the same top speeds. Not sure what the gear range is with the stock motor mount 🤔. The M2C mount will take huge pinions though 😱. Both size wheels have their advantages. The LP's corner and accelerate quicker being more planted. The fulls size ones flip easier and handle rougher terrain better. 😎💪👊👊
I still wonder how you keep the pinion tight. We cannot keep them on the motorshaft. It always gets loose uns us...but only on Hobbywing-motors. Not even the d-bore-pinions make a difference. We let the Loctite cure for days...same result
I follow the same regimen for every pinion. I use 70% isopropyl alcohol and clean all manufacturing oils off the motor shaft, pinion, and grub screw threads. I always hit used grub screws with a wire brush before the alcohol. I'll lightly heat my pinion and grub with my space heater and then use Loctite 242 blue for 24+ hours. This works for my big power 8s setups too.🍻
@@Hirthirthirt yes. It's not a must, but I believe it helps. I started doing that because I'd use the heater to dry off the alcohol. I think the heat helps the threadlock form a better bond on the metals.
The Sledge will handle moderate bashing in stock form. If you're gonna bash harder and like big jumps, plan on needing to upgrade the motor mount and either straightening or upgrading the chassis. Getting the Sledge solid isn't cheap 👀. Traxxas charges a chunk for the truck unfortunately. I can only recommend it for guys willing to look past it's steep price point. 😎💪👊👊
Indeed Brother 👊. Just go during off times (early weekdays are best) or wet days. I never run when the park is busy. Gotta respect the skaters and bikers 🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 for sure early morning week days is what I had in mind. I wish they would let us run at elk Grove park the bmx track out there has some huge jumps but signs everywhere no rc lol 🤘🍻
Thanks Brother 🤗. She does handle nicely. Traxxas could've surpassed the K6s with better materials and a bit more thought with the engineering. Unfortunately, they fell horribly short with the motor mount design and exaggerated the true durability of their "formed" 6061 chassis. Let's just call it like it is already 😂🍻😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 I know u said u run Power HD servos, but do u run it in all ur rigs. I'm fairly new to this hobby. So I'm learning as much as I can. Sorry for bugging u.
I fear that no Traxxas is truly up to snuff and Big Air is the test to prove it for me.Lets all be honest and admit that Traxxas is nice looking and Arrma is tough.Lol
Tryed the Maxx? That thing is hard as nails! I've got it myself and know people who has Arrma's that break every session. My Maxx has broken a driveshaft until now and was because of using the stupid self righting and also because it's the weakest point until upgrading to metal ones.
@@winstonsmith9619 I have a couple Traxxas truck's and several Arrma trucks.I can't bash my Stampede without breaking at least one part.I have a Big rock and I bashed the hell out of it for 3 months straight before I broke the first part.I am not saying Traxxas is not a good truck, I am saying it's just not as tough as a Arrma. As for your friends who break their Arrma trucks everytime, clearly they don't know how to drive them properly.Lol
@@winstonsmith9619 the Maxx V2 is a tough cookie 👍. My buddy sold his because he kept breaking front bulkheads. So far mine has done well. Just think the motor mount system is questionable. Already stripped the housing I think the 2nd run. Just doesn't hold my mesh. Having to modify a T nut to fit the gear cover so the plastic doesn't fail again. 🍻
@@the-original-ghost what I mean it's that it's not about makes imao... One friend of mine continuously breaks his Revo, but I can assure you the Maxx is a totally different story. I was thinking about a big Rock before going for the Maxx after several people in FB groups and several RU-vidrs (not sure if Rich was one of them) told me the Maxx is way tougher than the big rock and Arrma's require more maintenance. Then, I was between the Mojave and the Maxx and finally went for the Maxx because of all the diff issues Arrma's are said to have and because I prefered a monster truck. In addition, went for the Maxx because I already have a 3s hpi and wanted to upgrade, so went for a 4s easily upgradable to 6s with a hobbywing max8. Btw, they know what they do with their Arrma's, but they're only as tough as my Maxx after spending plenty of cash on upgrades and, even with that, I prefere the plastic chassis to the bended metal ones. Anyway, maybe, one day I get a Arrma or a Losi, or a Tekno... Not a fan boy.
@@richduperbash2966 no issues with any of that for now, but I don't bash it as hard as u do 😅 it's very obvious that every car has weak points, but I was looking for the toughest one out of the box and I think I got it. Do u know any solution for that issue with the bulkhead? Maybe metal skid plates covering it? I've read people in groups with the same issue and, apparently, metal bulkheads are not such a good solution as other stuff will break when you upgrade to metal ones... Thanks for your videos, man, I love them!
