Love the mascara! 💅im hiking the JMT this year. I’m not taking any makeup but definitely will have a bunch waiting for me in my car at the end 😀 but I’m def packing most of my skincare routine because its essential for me to feel well.
I love the animations you guys made - very fun/creative. I just hiked part of the Presidential Traverse but had to bail near Mt Washington because my IT band got REALLY painful and stiff. Had to limp down the the dark. I’ve never tried trekking poles - would that take some pressure off the knees?
We would absolutely recommend trekking poles they make a huge difference! Not only just with stability, but going down we definitely use them to gently lower ourselves down big steps rather than practically jumping down. Especially helpful for steep rocky hikes like the Presidentials.
Looks good ! Good Luck and Good Health on your journey. You probably don’t need the suggestion, but I haven’t found anything that gets rid of my hives better and quicker than Allegra . Just In case you haven’t tried it .
Great video, thank you for sharing, I hope you guys have fun! I am going the 2nd week of October... I am nervous on the weather... Mostly about a massive snow dump that leaves me stranded... please let us know how your trip turned out but also how the weather was. Please share if you have any insight of the type of fall they might have out there this year! Fun Fact - this is the 1st comment i have ever made on youtube after about 15 years of using it - you guys were my 1st 😆
We are honored to be your first comment, and hope you have an amazing time on your trip!! It was getting down to just barely below freezing several nights and we had frost on our tent, but that was only two or three nights and well above 10k elevation. We use an inflatable sleeping pad and 15 degree sleeping bags, but I slept wearing almost all of my clothes except my puffy most nights and was comfortable. I'm sure it will be a bit colder by mid October so plan for some colder nights! As for snow, you never know what may happen so just be prepared for it in case it does dump! We hope you have an incredible trip and it all goes well!
Thanks for watching! My packs was 35lbs with 4days of food and 1 Liter of water. Pickles’ bag was about 22lbs. A GPS unit isn’t mandatory for navigation because the trail is usually obvious, except when snow covered the trail and we lost it, but I just used a phone gps to get back on track (I recommend FarOut guides). The Garmin was more of a safety thing just in case something bad happened, there was very little service out there so I do highly recommend carrying a satellite phone of some sort in case you’re unable to hike out yourself and you need to contact someone!
Honestly no, our gear was pretty dialed in for this trip, I don't think we would change anything. It did get below freezing at night though, and if got much lower than that I would've wanted a warmer bag or thermal liner.
