2 things/companies I'll mention re: the Mid-layers/hoodies - Is Appalachian Gear Co. (alpaca) & a Melly (if you can't snag a Melly) then Burgeon Outdoors has a version I actually like better than the Melly. I almost always have one of these w/me unless it's the dead of Summer. All of these companies also do baselayers, hats and such as well.
@@chaseadventures NP - Disclaimer - I run hot and grew up in the Midwest. It seldom gets cold here ( in NC) to me. Usually that mid-layer is it for me. I don't even own a puffy.
@@safromnc8616 sounds like you've figured out what works for you which is awesome. The difference between someone who runs hot and someone who runs cold is pretty massive from my experience. Sounds like we agree!
@@chaseadventures Yep - I am of the school that you start 'cold' and warm up in hopes you don't have to start shedding clothes before you even get started !
