Based on my memory of the pedal, it depends on whether the equipment downstream of the pedal can take such a hot signal. I’ve clipped FOH mixers before but that’s because they weren’t expecting that kind of level. After backing the gain down, the tone was alright.

+kernelspy Hi, yes you can, but the cab sim switch affects both outputs, if you're intending to send the XLR output to FOH. It will be best to have a full-range flat-response amp (like a keyboard amp), but if not, you could tweak the EQ to accommodate the cab sim tone.

Hi! The Radar has much more options than the Micro DI. For one thing, it loads up IR’s and has power amp simulation, whereas the Micro DI is just a Fender-flavour cab sim (I believe it’s the clone of the Fender micro DI). The Radar also needs 12V to run, so the Micro DI is easier to integrate with a board because it only needs 9V. You could integrate the two together, just disable the cab sim and you’ll have a 12dB switchable boost/cut active DI with the Radar!

Hi! You could, and it will have a particular sound, but it's "double" cabinet simulation, as the American Sound has cab sim too. Actually, the American Sound is Fender-voiced, isn't it? The Micro DI is also Fender cab voiced, so you might not need the Micro DI. I'd recommend using a normal DI box.

Cheers mate. Yes it is! I find the +20dB helpful for low-output pickups. I have a jazz bass and it's quite low output...until I stuck this at the end of the chain!

Hi, my apologies this comes late, I had issues with my notifications! The unbalanced output is for 1/4" connections to other gear, including a mixer. No issues connecting directly to the PA (other than ground noise, which you can rectify using the ground lift switch).

you can connect gt100 directly to the mixer. You dont need a di box

Hi! Yes you can, the bigger pedal series (American Sound, British Sound) can be a little brittle by themselves. Pairing with a secondary cab filter (such as the Mooer Micro DI) could help to give a more convincing tone.

how do you set this? in the clean channel of the amp or at the fx loop?

I think these methods work better for the FX loop. The clean channel preamp will colour the signal from the American Sound. Actually, I’d use a full-range flat response (FRFR) sound system for these amp sim pedals, over traditional guitar amps.
