Preamp out and power amp in... IS an effects loop dude.. Just patch your pedals in-between those to jacks as that is the insertion point between the pre amp and power amp.... thusly an effects loop. Now wether it's buffered or not I have no idea or wether it's series or parallel? But I'd say it's series and I'd say it's buffered due to the digital component of the pre amp. But yea, its got one.
Hey is your EVH 2X12 a 50 or 60watt? Because that is a 100w head. Im buying the head used and had option of the 50watt EVH 2X12 OR THE 120WATT Orange 2x12. I chose the orange 2x12 being AFRAID if blowing the EVH.
I have A-line 6 spider 3 and my favorite tone in that 1 is For Whom the Bell's Tolls. Lately I've been looking to upgrade and I was looking at a Peavey 120 but when I came across this it made me think twice because something about the line 6 has that old metal sound to it. My problem with Lint-6 is that I don't know how to get it off the presets to set my own tone and I really have to muffle the strings to make it sound clean. Also the amp doesn't play well in low volume.
I have this head. What’s a good noise gate you would recommend? I’d like to not break the bank but if it requires it, fuck it lol the built in noise gate just ain’t cutting it
