@@SKshorts-mq7ql I can understand what you are saying, and theoretically you are correct 💯 Addendum circle must be considered as Gear diameter. However, I experience the same confusion as how can Pitch circle diameter will be equal to gear diameter? But later on I saw many contrary articles where some industry people say pitch circle is gear diameter, some say Addendum circle is gear diameter. But later on in my internship, I saw that my supervisors and some designers use pitch circle diameter to define gear diameter and some vendors too agree with this. But on the other side I even saw vendors saying addendum diameter as gear diameter. Coming to the conclusion, I will tell you the reasons why I choose gear pitch as gear diameter. 1. Gear pitch is better to define the gear position. 2. Most Vendors generally understand and communicate orders in gear pitch. 3. If I consider the Addendum circle as gear diameter, it is difficult for me if I am drawing simple gears circuit diagram, i.e. if I have to show the merge of two gears teeth using two circles, then addendum circle of both gears will never be tangent, instead it will collide with each other whereas in pitch circle, the imaginary pitch circle is always tangent. 4. Thus, due to these reasons, for our convenience, I have considered the pitch gear diameter as gear diameter. However, I would like to tell you that you are also not wrong 😊 theoretically, you are correct, but in practical life, most people consider pitch gear as gear diameter for convenience and as student's friend & my personal experience, I would also suggest gear pitch as gear diameter, as it will help you in projects😊

@@amarjeetyadav9713 Jaw gear ka PCD sir aapko uska technical sheet pe mil jayega at the time of buying or aap jisse buy kar raha ho usse aap specific diameter bata sakta ho accordingly vo aapko jaw gear provide karega. Agar aapka pas technical sheet available nahi ha, than aap following methods try kar sakta ho: 1) Aap usko completely open position me rakha dono jaws ka distance vernier or scale ka help se measure kar sakta ha, usse aapko diameter milega. But make sure ki jaws position se move na ho varna reading me error aayega. 2) Dusra method ha ki aap alag alag diameter ka koyi cylindrical shape lije or vo object lije jisse aapko lift karna ha to usme pele aap jaws fit kije, agar jaws fits hua to vo cylindrical shape ka diameter aap vernier se measure kar sakta ha I hope ya methods aapka liya useful honge☺️ agar isse bhi kaam nahi hua to aap mujhe vapis measure kije, fir hum aur kuch methods try karenga
