Geared cycle is beneficial only in uphill or downhill to optimise the force exerted on the paddles. It can't increase speed than nongeared cycles. Only effort is reduced. That's it. Also, maintenance is frequent. And if your geared cycle malfunctions in the middle of the road during a very long journey, it will be too hectic to arrive at a repairing station as compared to a nongeared cycle. Generally nongeared cycles don't malfunction frequently. Their only issue is tube leakage or tyre puncture. Still you can ride anyway and come to a service station, which with a geared cycle can never be achieved. For a geared cycle, you need a crane!!
I didn't need to ride 40 to 50 km but my area is mostly hilly and needs a lot of effort to pedal so a gear cycle is a good option for area where we have give a lot of effort

@@Alexx0005 Agreed. If there is lot of up down then gear would benefit. In my areas there is no much incline decline. There are some flyovers where i have to do steep ascend but i got used to with that..
If u are a traveller and rides on a normal road the rudra will give more range but if u are into off roading and needs full comfort then u can go with emx- 20-25 km off-road 45-50 in good road
If you want to ride cycle for workout, buy non gear cycle.. If you want to ride for work, buy electric cycle instead of gear cycle. It will help you more in uphill, can go longer rides without getting tired. gear cycle is useless after electric cycle came in market.😂
Please suggest me which cycle is best for me. I am a teacher. I travel 80km everyday. I have to travel 10 km with bike and rest 70km by bus. I have limited time to take bus. I want to shift from bike to bicycle .please suggest me a cycle which is fast enough on flat roads as well as on over bridges so that i could get bus on time. Please note I become tired in evening and want to save some energy while riding a cycle.

And It's my experience that agar kisi ko piche bitha kar cycling kr rhe ho to gear wali cycle apki thise and calves me padne Wale pain ko bhi Kam krta h. And you can drive easily as a normal cycle weight bhi jyda feel nhi hota peechhe Wale ka truly
Hii, my budget is 13K I have newer own a gear cycle and max to max i want to run the cycle 5Km a day in colony where some roads are goods and in between their are many holes so, please recommend me should I take gear cycle or non gear
Well non gear cycle is the best choice if you have 10 to 20 thousand rupees budget because my son rides it and gets more than 40-45 kmh easily. But only when you have large chain adapter. If you have small chain adapter then top speed will be less but acceleration is like a beast.

Sir mai online delivery ka kaam karta hun desi cycle se 12 hours chalata hun..kaon si cycle lu jo chadhaan par aasani se chadhh jaaye..kyu ki Mumbai me Jagah Jagah chadhaan Hai.. aur normal road par cycle ki speed bhi Kamm nahi honi chahiye..ya is desi cycle me kya change karwaaun..meri age bhi 50 Hai thhak Jaata hun..
